Sunday night, when my son asked me why we shoot each other dead almost every day in America...WE DON'T shoot each other dead almost every day in America. (Unless of course this bimbo and her unfortunate son are part of the urban gang culture. If that is the case, then THEY shoot each other because they are a bunch of criminal predators who are not willing to pursue any other means of making a living.)
"We need to take guns away from people! We need to shut down all the churches: they just breed hatred. We need to nationalize the big industries! We need to take the money away from the rich people and give it to the poor people! The government can fix all this stuff if we just give it a chance!"
I walked up and indicated that I did not entirely agree.
"You!" she spat. "You're a Republican! You're a fascist! All you want to do is control people!"
I said, "I'm a Conservative. That means I want to be left alone. But it sounds like you sure want to control things."
She stormed off.
