As liberal pundits go, I find Sam Stein among the least objectionable—a low bar to be sure. The HuffPo editor has a streak of fairness to him. But on today’s Morning Joe, Stein served up some absurd spin on Hillary’s “basket of deplorables.”
“Deplorables,” according to Stein, in a way “does work to her advantage.” Why? Because some moderate Republicans will “look at this division between the deplorables and the non-deplorables . . . and do say to themselves: do I want to be part of that?” A kind of snob appeal, Sam? Don’t think so, and even Joe Scarborough, who continued his attacks on Trump throughout the show dismissed the notion, saying “you don’t win voters by calling other voters irredeemable.”

It was a damaging gaffe and thankfully, Joe Stein is a moron.
Pence should have thrown this back in their faces. The KKK gave Hillary 20k. She didn’t return the donation. Based on that it is safe to say she doesn’t think the KKK is deplorable.

This is exactly the strategy Hillary should continue to use. She should express even more smug contempt. Its a win win for everybody. The country will win the election, and she will win some time to recoup her health.

Scarborough recognized HRC’s remark as a big mistake.
He said Hillary created a real “community”, among TRUMP supporters, and to prove his point, cut to a clip of three Anglo women sporting tee shirts with “DEPLORABLE” across the front.
It was probably code to show the three tees worn by whites only, because the KKK media meme against Trump supporters is in full swing.
The Dems are furious that he dared to enter into and visit Black America, in Detroit of all places.

Joe has since tweeted this sentiment that it will work for them to open a discussion on the horrible Trump supporters. My response was they were spinning so fast they may all fall down.
