‘Crusaders! Infidels! Dogs! Get out!’ US-backed rebels force US commandos to leave Syrian town
RT (Russia Today) ^ | 16 September 2016

“Five or six” US special forces troops had to withdraw from the town of al-Rai on Syria’s border with Turkey, after allies from the Free Syrian Army (FSA) had driven them out, calling them “infidels” and “crusaders,” several media outlets have reported.

The Turkish military, which last month openly crossed the Syrian border to fight against Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL), has admitted that US soldiers are providing a supporting and coordinating role in the operation being carried out between the Syrian towns of Azaz and al-Rai, Reuters reports.

At least two videos circulated on Twitter on Friday evening appeared to show that they were not welcome in al-Rai.

There was a stretch of Interstate in Northern California where the highway signs informed you that you were traveling on both I-620 East and I-620 West simultaneously. That’s what the spaghetti foreign policy of the US has done for the country.

It was Bob Lilly, a Dallas Cowboy player back in the sixties, who said his defensive opponent faked him out so badly that Bob grabbed himself, and got called for holding.

Let Russia handle Syria. At least they look like they know what they are doing.

US forces should bomb the piss out of the Turks (and their Islamist Syrian puppet “militias”) who have invaded northern Syria. The only thing they are actually doing there is fighting the Kurds as well as protecting supply lines from Turkey used by ISIS and other Islamists.

Somebody upthread said these Turks were Obama’s troops — and I believe that. Obama does all he can get away with to protect the Islamists while pretending to fight them.

Good idea.
Pack up the troops up and leave.
Destroy anything left behind.
Cut the ‘moderates’ off from all support.
Hand the Sov, er, Russians all the info we have them.
Wish the Russians and Assad the best of luck.

Propaganda from Obama’s/Hillary's Reset buddy Putin. Didn't Obama tell Russia after the 2012 election he would have more flexibility to do what Russia wants? I guess Obama wasn't flexible enough. ; )

If you are selling military weapons to the US government and they are arming both sides in a conflict you have a pretty good deal going.

Muhammad died in 632.

By 732, Islam controlled everything from the Indus River through the Middle East, Northern Africa, up Spain and across the Pryenees, until Charles Martel stopped them. They were in France. They had swallowed up 2/3 of Christendom, including the lands of its birth.

It took FOUR HUNDRED YEARS for Europe to attempt to organize a push-back (essentially, armed pilgrimages) to aid the besieged Byzantine Christians and take back/defend the Holy Places. After 200 years of sporadic Crusades they failed to get and hold territory in the Middle East, but at least they kept the jihadis at bay and -- in separate actions --- pushed them out of the Iberian Peninsula by 1492. Seven hundred years after the invasion.

And the Muslims call the Crusaders aggressive...

This was no more "aggression" than the landing of the Allied troops a Normandy.

Yes we do. Hillary would be even more malignant than the one we’ve got though. We must win this, or we will enter a war that is more than our overextension, debilitated economy and PC submissive Pentagon can handle.

“It is something that most parents hope for in life: That their children will be moderately successful, polite, decent human beings. Anything on top of that is something you have no right to hope for, but we all do.”

I was born about 20 years too late. Not much makes sense to me these days.
OK, Trump makes sense.

Catch-22 rides again.

Recall that Milo Minderbinder contracted with the Germans to bomb his American air base. Nobody was hurt and everybody got a share.
