Five people were killed, including a pregnant woman, and at least 38 more were wounded in shootings across the city between Friday evening and Monday morning, police said.
Parasha M. Beard and a 26-year-old man were sitting in a car parked in the 8700 block of South Marquette when another vehicle pulled alongside them and a gunman with dreadlocks opened fire, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. The woman was shot in the neck, and the man suffered gunshot wounds to the neck and chest.

Geez, I grew up less than a mile from 87th and Marquette. Wasn’t all that great neighborhood forty years ago.
