Sara Bowin, 12, is one of hundreds of Santa Cruz County residents who mistakenly received a mailing telling her to register to vote.
The mailing came from the Voter Participation Center, a nonpartisan nonprofit, which this month distributed 4.6 million similar letters across California. Despite attempts to screen for errors, many of the letters were sent in error, some to voters who were already registered and others to people who were ineligible, such as Sara.

Santa Cruz is a haven of leftist liberals. This is an attempt to fish for votes for Hillary. A bunch of those leftist liberals are busy drinking, doing drugs, sunning themselves on the beach, or taking classes at UCSC. And a lot don’t bother voting because they just want to have fun.
I’ll be deer hunting on election day, so, I applied for an absentee ballot, which I have done several times in years past.
I was informed by mail that my application was received, but that I wasn’t a registered voter. A voter registration form was enclosed.
I registered to vote and have been voting at the same polling place using this same address since 1982.
I wrote back, after filling out the registration form, that I am a registered voter.
That was 2 weeks ago and I have heard nothing back.
Something is telling me that they’re going to find a way to NOT count my vote.
I may be a couple of days late for deer hunting...
California will go for Hillary regardless. Maybe this is just an attempt to inflate the popular vote in California so that if Trump has a majority in the electoral college they can claim Hillary has more popular votes. Of course some of these voters may vote Green or Libertarian.
They are organizing for voting early and often.

We got something from this group over the weekend stating that since just turned 18, complete the enclosed form in order to vote.
Funny thing is, nobody in this house is no where near 18 years of age!
