Champagne is banned under Islam.

Or if you don’t know how to pronounce the name of a black student, who has an unusual name with an apostrophe in it, can you be brought up on racism charges???

Ditto with students of Hispanic descent, if you don’t pronounce their names with a Spanish inflection?

Ditto with students from some middle eastern or Arab background, if you don’t pronounce their names with the proper Arabic inflection???

Liberals Are taking this way too far.

Glad that this guy never felt he was 'micro-aggressed' when someone mispronounced his symbol.

Parents that give their kids weird ass names are setting them up for a life full of microaggressions then. There’s just no way you could get some of these names right without hearing it spoken first.

I had a Professor in college with a Greek name that was so difficult to pronounce, we all called him “Professor A to Z!”

“And before you get all defensive about the bigotry thing, let’s be clear: Discovering that something you do might be construed as bigotry doesn’t mean anyone is calling you a bigot,” Gonzalez adds. “It’s just an opportunity to grow. An opportunity to understand that doing something a little differently shows others that you respect them.”

In other words, they get to insult you, but you're not allowed to call it an insult because it never happened when they do it. Even though it actually IS a microaggresion.

This is childhood hypocrisy rulemaking fantasies from recess. These people are totally insane - and cruel as hell. They just sit around fantasizing nightmares to hurt people who they know are completely innocent of doing any harm.

I've said it before and its still true - the sickest, most destructive perverts of all work for schools.

How about me? My last name is hard to pronounce, esp if you have an accent.

This is shockingly stupid, not just because it’s moronic but also because of the unintended consequences. Wouldn’t acting like mispronouncing a name is a crime discourage teachers from using names at all? Liberals are not just petty tyrants at heart; they are stupid petty tyrants.

Unless it's shockingly calculated, to lay the groundwork to numbering students and denying them their names for that reason. Never trust a school administrator. Never.

oh for pete’s sake these adminners need to GET A GRIP

Obamas promise on Hope & Change ? waaaaaiiiiittttt.......

wut was dat?

Oh yes, a President who has the ego & wherewithal to stop rioters in SC hasn’t even given a pulic statement to cease & desist this crap rioting.

He’s jes’ sittin’ there in that big ole’ chair in the Oval Office clapping his hands with glee now that his people / voters decided to loot a shoe store & calling out sizes.

for me-? none of that bothers me but the media hypes it
& yet BamBam does NOT claim it.

imho I know he is on the outs but my perception is that for the past 18 months or so he’s been working on projects that will secure his future legacy.

There is also a strong correlation between exotic names and lower class / lower IQ.
So the poverty and low IQ are correlated to poor school performance and weird names ... whereas Apple, daughter of a rich chick, should be fine.

Having taught many years in the South Bronx I can write a book on some of the more moronic names that idiots name their offspring
Two of my all time favorite:

Sy-Phylis pronounced as sa fillis

Fe-Male pronounced fa malee

How can you expect all names to be pronounced correctly when few teachers can even pronounce (didn't) or (couldn't) and have passed those mispronounced words on for several generations...git for get etc......Even clothes have fallen by the wayside, sloppy or brief is the norm now.

Obama's only legacy will be as a "racist anti-American POTUS".

Seen on a hospital birth record by someone I know:

Girl's name...............La-a.

Pronounced Ladasha. True story.

How do you pronounce correctly? What rules are we to follow? Have they been published in a federal bulletin?

Truth is that “right” is whatever the person wants, subject to change, if he/she/it decides to change his/her/its gender.
