My husband hasn’t had an ID since he died in 1999. I’m sure he’s been voting democrat since then.

He voted Democrat in every election since 1999, Mrs.eccentric. On that you can rest assured.

I called and made sure my husband’s name was removed from the voter rolls after he died. Voting booklets come out in advance of the election. There should be “NO” voting booklet mailed to the deceased! If so, call and remove their name.

Also, all voters must present valid ID to prove who they are.

I have to; in the middle of Indiana.

I do not know if there is a system in place to check yearly obituaries against the List.

Voting should be done at ATMS w security cameras, some sort of ID. And a printed receipt recording your vote.

This could easily be used against a person later.

I was more questioning your wording.

To me ‘dire’ means something other than ‘we’ve got vacation scheduled for then and won’t be here’.

And I’m not sure that having them send in a copy of their ID does you any good.

If I have a sample ID for that state, and I believe there is a website (or was) that showed what every states ID looks like, I can whip up a perfect one in just a few minutes.

Or check Chicago and the Cook County Clerk’s office. We hear that Ronald and Nancy Reagan, Abraham Lincoln, Warren Harding, Calvin Cooidge and many other non-Chicagoans now vote as Demonrats there as part of the “dead as a doornail” community and they aren’t even buried there.
