Clinton-Trump Race Narrows on the Doorstep of the Debates (POLL)
ABC News ^

Posted on 09/25/2016 11:04:43 AM PDT by ameribbean expat

Trump’s fortunes rest on his core supporters, white men who lack a four-year college degree, an economically stressed and socially and politically conservative group. He leads Clinton among them by 76-17 percent, an enormous 59-point advantage. That’s widened from 40 points early this month; it’s a group Mitt Romney won by 31 points -- half Trump’s current margin -- in 2012.

And these voters are enthusiastic. Turnout should be high in this group. Hillary’s having trouble getting any enthusiasm among key Democrat supporters.

[Clinton, for her part, has advanced to a 25-point lead among college-educated white women, 57-32 percent, extending her advantage in this group from 10 points early this month. Romney won them by 6 points in 2012.]

I thnk Hillary is going to be shocked come Election Day. She is not going to carry college educated women by even close to 25%.

Why do they keep saying we are white and have no degrees? Between my wife and myself, we have five degrees.

Narrowing? I think the gap between Clinton and Trump is widening.

All these polls that are “narrowing” simply want to come in out of the cold and look like they are getting real. They can not stay standing on those wide margins and look creditable when it comes to nut cuttin time.

Another poorly disguised attempt to color Trump supporters as illiterate knuckledraggers living in their cars and fornicating with their cousins.

Good thing you don't play for the Mariners (or any other team in the liberal fascist sports complex)

Nick Mangold is a BEAST of a Center for the Jets.

Wears pro cop, pro US, pro troop caps and buttons on the sidelines before games a lot.

Who’s gonna tell a 330 pound animal “take that off!”

I WAS SHOCKED that victor Cruz and Odell Beckham got fines for wearing 9/11 paraphernalia on the field on 9/11.

There’s not many, so the good guys really stand out.

According to the site 270towin.com, the competitive states as of today are:

Nevada
Arizona
Colorado
Iowa
Wisconsin (when’s the last time WI voted GOP for pres?)
Michigan (normally strongly Democrat)
Ohio
Pennsylvania
Virginia (wasn’t Tim Kaine supposed to nail this down)
North Carolina
Georgia
Florida
New Hampshire

I get the impression, from state polls and news reports, that Trump is ahead in most of these states.

Or turn it around, and ask, which of these states do we expect Hillary to carry? She “should” get Virginia because of Tim Kaine. Michigan and Wisconsin are usually easy Democrat victories in pres. elections.

Of course wouldn’t expect Trump to sweep all these states, but I think he’s ahead or within striking distance in every single one.

Isn’t it interesting that the moderator, Lester Holt, does not have a college degree. The Dems don’t seem to hole that against those who are ideologically aligned with them.

One of my best friends— 35+ years — drives a 54’ overnight for Big Brown and farms 167 acres during the day. 4 kids. Three are @ OSU, 1 in med, 2 in pre-med. The fourth is valedictorian and heading that way. Amazing what a father who works his butt off and tells his kids he expects the same can accomplish. And he married well. His wife is the brains of the operation, but she knew how to pick a man (as opposed to getting knocked up by pajama boy).
