Popular Radio Host Michael Savage Broadcast Shut Down Nationwide as He Discusses Clinton’s Health…
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | September 26 | Sundance

Wow. This is quite remarkable.

Michael Savage is a very well known radio talk personality. The Savage Nation is a nationally syndicated talk show that is the second most listened-to radio talk show in the country with an audience of over 20 million listeners on 400 stations across the United States...

Shortly thereafter, as Michael Savage discovered the issue and began discussing what was going on in/around the New York broadcast area, all Savage affiliates nationwide cut off the broadcast and replaced the live transmission with a recording of a previous show.

And that drives him crazy since that denies him the legitimacy he feels he needs.

The legitimacy he needs? I’ve read that, except for Rush, he has more listeners than any other talk-show host. Is that not so?

You're right. I work in radio, I can tell you that is exactly what happened.

So, who would control the uplink. Since Savage's show originates in San Francisco, I would assume his uplink would be located there. However, I would also assume that his uplink could be controlled by somebody in, say, New York City.

Would his syndicator -- which, I believe, is Cumulus -- be responsible? Who else might have done the deed?

I like to use cash for most spending.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Well, I do, too, when I can.

However, there are many things that I buy online—whether using credit card or bank account...certain supplies from companies that only have internet presence...certain supplements, books, outdoor supplies, etc. that are not available to me locally.

But commerce is the least of my worries regarding loss of freedom...To me it is the loss of information in a tyranny...which is why what happened to Savage today is particularly troublesome...For example, if the power goes out, after finding a flashlight what is the first thing you do...You try to figure out what happened? why? who else is effected...Much of it is information—I worry about the loss of the flow of information.

I wonder if this was not a message being sent out to all the conservative radio media...watch it...If you take your criticism of Hillary too far, we wil shut you down...very chilling effect.

Second thing to to go get the auto batteries, cables, inverter, and extension cords and fire up a Diesel car.

Then I try to figure out if the trouble is beyond the confines of the compound. Then take another vehicle to get a guess as to the size of the outage.

I see it this way:

My daughter has twin daughters, 4 year-old twins (not identical). As far as the whole family is concerned, she has the right to see those 2 little girls grow up to have good/great careers, and marry and have their own children, which would be my daughter’s grandchildren.

My daughter is only 35 years old, and her daughters are her pride-and-joy. Yeah, cancer doesn’t understand age, and it doesn’t understand family, but, she’s still “my little girl” and my granddaughters are also “my pride-and-joy”.

Cancer’s other name is “hell”!

No it's not..........

But if you can find a legitimate online source that accurately shows the ratings of all the radio talk show hosts and how they rate, I'd like to see it...........thanks

Along with the sunspots the Little Green Men from Mars could have intercepted the radio waves and turned them toward outer space and sent them to the other end of the Milky Way.

Notice how this can come back to hurt the censors. Savage, and any person with a big audience purposely says controversial things. That is how they get the big audience.

So next time someone is offended, they will sue these stations. These stations could have previously said they have no control over the content. Now they have given up tat defense. They have shown that they control the content.

Well you are prepared!...
Sounds like you have been thru a few.
But you are doing what I said...trying to seek out information...Good ideas btw!

We rarely get outages where I live—almost never...In fact last year we had a rather lengthy one (eh maybe 3.5 hours) and my neighbor did not even have a flashlight and it was getting towards dark...I offered them emergency lantern/candles, etc. but they declined...came on as dusk was transitioning to darkness.

I called power company and they were able to provide information as to duration and spread of the outage, and I have hand-crank radios should I need them.
