Unlikely.

Is the Pope Catholic?

"...and I have never abandoned them. People must be accompanied as Jesus accompanies them, when a person who has this condition arrives before Jesus, Jesus surely doesn't tell them 'go away because you are homosexual.'"

Who said anything about abandoning these people? You can help them and tell them it's wrong instead of enabling their mental illnesses. Of course why would you be expected to abandon or excommunicate these people when you won't do it to "pro-choice" Catholic politicians?

Using this logic of his....then a woman who has a sex-change operation to be a man, can join up as a priest and even one day become Pope....right?

The mentally ill man has been mutilated, but he's still a man, just not much of one. As for the women, they are no more married than my (then 5 y/o) daughter was when she "married" a doll.

Has there been a plan to relocate the irreplaceable art and books to another location when the inevitable outcome is unfolding or is that all going to be collateral lose as even worse things are going on?

Pope Francis has proven beyond any possible doubt that he is... uh... addled.

To put it very, very politely.

From of old there have been men who claimed to be gods and women whose clams ran the gamut from goddess to witch. Ought we say of them, the mortal humans who were at one time males and females are now gods and goddesses?

I’m Protestant, this particular Pope does not inspire respect. Both John Paul II and Benedict XVI struck me as defenders of thier faith in the face of secular pressures. Pope Francis simply is not. To my mind he is a good reason to withdraw the recent doctrine of Papal infallibility.

Too many Protestant churches are bending their faith, we all could use a Catholic Church that stands strong against secular winds.

If I were a Catholic, I’d resign from the faith. That’s how “politely” I’d put it!

So in other words he will on occasion pay lip service to Catholic doctrine while in practice undermining it completely. How Jesuitical of him.

The Pope’s position sems to be that God screwed this one up. He meant to make a man, but got it wrong. Oppsie for our Lord. But don’t worry — man can fix all the screwups that God makes.

The only thing that can be said about this Pope is that he represents the opinions and beliefs of most of the Catholics I know.

He’s young enough that he can totally corrupt the Church before he dies.
