Trump is no Conservative, let's not delude ourselves. He's a populist with some Conservative leanings. A true Conservative at least in diction was Ted Cruz and he was soundly defeated, even in Pubbie only primary states. Constitutional Conservatism is not a majority school of thought in the US and it will be hard to get a true Conservative elected. The mushy middle mouthbreathers buy too many cliches and watches too much reality TV. In addition they suck on the teat of government somewhat also.

If conservatism is a no fly zone over Syria, handing out soccer balls to invading Mexicans, being an ineligible candidate for President, and co-writing TPA to ensure TPP... then yes.
Please explain to what exactly is a “Constitutional Conservative” and why T. Cruz is one and D Trump is not?
It certainly has nothing to do with their positions on issues. They are running on.
I’m not being snarky I just do not understand people can say that D Trump does not stand up in the right way for constitutional issues.
