What all us “experts” have been saying has happened over and over again for over a year...every time Trump goes on his Twitter rants or gets conned into an argument, his poll numbers drop and he loses support he will need to win. What you need to do is grow up or you’re going to need some heavy meds if he loses. Some of us have been through these elections more than others...listen and learn sonny!

You’re right of course ...what they don’t understand is that Trump should have this election in the bag. No voter, outside of the left wing loons and Dem hacks, WANTS to vote for Clinton.
Trump has what no GOP candidate has had for decades; the American public solidly behind him on almost all the issues while running against, according to the same public, a dishonest and corrupt candidate. All they want is for him to act like a President and they will vote for him.

The GOP Caucus leans to the left because the GOP leans to the left. Republicans lean to the left. Look at how they vote. But, bad as they are, they beat having 55 Harry Reid's running the Senate.
As for Kirk: True, Blue good old fashioned Republicans are no longer electable in Illinois. So electing Kirk vs conceding the seat to the Dems seems to me to be an easy choice.
Image that we lose Kirk and and a few other GOP Senators and the Dems end up with a 51 to 49 majority in the Senate. Imagine that Trump still wins the Presidency. That loss of Kirk in Illinois means we lose the Senate. A Kirk win would give us a 50:50 split and the vote of Pence would allow Trump to have a GOP Senate.
Don't be foolish. As bad as he is, Kirk is as good as we can get and we may need him. I want him to win.

I am proud to say that friends and I organized the Weicker disposal from the Senate in favor of Joe Lieberman, a good and decent man of my acquaintance. Joe Lieberman was not perfect just a lot more perfect than Weicker. Weicker is and was a disgusting pig and a political crossdresser. He made the career error of scuba diving in Cuba with Fidel Castro and allowing his treasonweasel behavior to be filmed. Joe took it from there and with about 40% of Democrats voting for Weicker and 60%+ of rank and file Republicans voting for Joe Lieberman, we sent that sleazy bastard Weicker packing. Other than the Reagan elections, it was the best political work I ever did. I would do it again early and often. I don't care who runs the committees so that they can cash in with the increasingly sleazy business constituency. They are whores with portable mattresses, portable red lights and sacks of quarters to make change.
Now that I live in Illinois, if I were younger and in better health, I would gladly organize against Kirk. As it is, I expect not to vote for Nancyboy again. I have literally no confidence that he can be trusted on such basics as organizing the Senate, voting correctly if Schmuckie Chewmer proposes changing the rules to facilitate Her Satanic Majesty's (if, God forbid, she steals the election) nominations to SCOTUS to finish off what is left of the Constitution, voting FOR TRump appointments to SCOTUS especially if they intend to resist baby-killing, resist perversion posing as marriage, support mass deportation of illegals, resist any further inundation of the US by Islamolunatics, etc.
It may be that Nancyboy is the senior senator from Boeing or whatever or whore of the year for K Street or faithful servant of "the interests. I don't care.
IF, by election day (1) the Arkansas Medusa seems capable of being elected, AND, (2) it appears that Demonrats COULD win a majority of the Senate BUT might not, AND (3) I was ABSOLUTELY CONVINCED that Nancyboy were likely to behave as to rules, SCOTUS nominations AND keep his infernal Godless yap cemented shut on social issues, then MAYBE and ONLY in such a crisis, I would consider voting for the despicable Nancyboy, but I hope not.
Oh, and as far as the argument that Nancyboy is the best we can do? Twelve years ago we still had as a US Senator, the thoroughly admirable Peter Fitzgerald. He retired voluntarily after one very fine term, having defeated Carol Mostly Fraud, because the spineless, leftist Illinois GOP (a subsidiary of the Chicago Machine with a then pro-"gay""marriage" state chair) intended his defeat especially when Obozo became available as the Demonrat candidate. After all, Obozo is and was a babykiller as are they, a promoter of perverted everything as are they and so, so, so much more of the common agenda of what passes for GOP state "leadership" in this sorry state and the current version of the Chicago Demonrat Machine.
The rank and file of the GOP does not lean left but they are vegetables when it comes to recognizing the corruption of the state party stooges and the influence of "the interests" not only for commercial purposes but also ever more for the moral degeneration of society.
Illinois state party rules, backed by state statutes make it functionally impossible to oust Illinois state "GOP" leadership who are willing handmaidens of the Demonrats. Even in hidebound Connecticut, we could oust state central committee members and, by that tactic, remove state leaders. Not so in Illinois.
A "conservative" who does not hate, loathe and detest LIBERAL Republicans in party office or public office above all else, is no conservative.
IF the GOP loses control of the Senate, it will be because "GOP" leadership effectively wanted it so because the spineless cowards lack the gonads to run the Senate. Their normal comfort zone is whining in the minority while refusing to lead. They have no balls, no backbones, no testosterone. They run for office vowing to reduce the size of government, reduce taxes, defund Planned Barrenhood, repeal the hated Obozo"care," force a tough foreign policy, make adequate $$$$ provision for the military, save the babies, resist pervert "marriage," etc., etc., etc. They whined that they could not stop Obozo with Demonrats running all of Congress. We gave them the House. They refused to use the Constitutional power of the purse to stop Bathhouse Barry in his tracks.
Then they whined that they could not stop him with only the House in their hands (a bald-faced lie). They said they needed the Senate. We gave them the Senate. They refused to use the clear provisions of the Constitution to reject Obozo's determination to arm Iran with nukes. That purports to be a treaty and requires 2/3 of the Senate to ratify it. Spurred by Corker, Mitch who is Barry's bitch, said No! One-third will suffice. They massacred every promise they made to get control of House and Senate.
Again no willingness to cut off the funding. More than half of the entire accumulated federal debt has been racked up under Bathhouse Barry, Mitch His Bitch, and the now thankfully departed Boneless Boehner than whom Ryan is no better.
Look at all the “Elite” Republicans that say they are. The Romney’s Bushes and those in Congress.This country will eventually get what it deserves if they elect the “Rapist” Wife!
Kirk isn’t doing well because he usually disagrees with his party’s platform. Here are some of his latest interest group ratings: Planned Parenthood, 100%; NEA, 100%; John Birch Society, 35%; and Gun Owners of America, 0%. Last year, he said that illegal aliens should have a pathway to citizenship.
