Even Nixon appointed one. There were serious allegations of criminal behavior by someone in this administration.
Why wasn't Obama forced to appoint a Special Prosecutor - independent of his administration - to investigate?
Can someone start asking this question?
Surely, "The entire system is corrupt and rigged" isn't a legitimate response.
The law authorizing it was allowed to expire.
Obama, Lynch and Comey. They won’t let it happen. They see her as their elderly grandmother.
Been asking that for months. You’ll get answers that the law wasn’t continued, etc. Fact is Obama would never permit it, the damn republicans never demanded one like they should have,. Of course if anyone wanted it a republican Congress could have passed it, or the Justice Department can just appoint a special prosecutor though then they wouldn’t have true independence.
The fact the republicans never made an issue of this, to me is the biggest evidence they are in the tank.

With how far the White House has gone to stop any credible investigation for someone I’m sure isn’t dear to obamas heart I think we know why.

The Democrats repealed the Independent Counsel law after Bill Clinton’s impeachment.
The way to get bad Democrat laws repealed is to use those laws against Democrats.
Nixon was FORCED to appoint an independent prosecutor because the media and Democrats claimed that since the Atty General worked for Nixon, no one directly in the normal ‘chain of command’ could be trusted to conduct a fair investigation.
The recent investigation of Hillary by the DoJ and FBI have proven the point that the administration can’t be trusted to investigate itself.
Yes - there were provisions that expired for the “Independent Investigator”.....HOWEVER - Patrick Fitzgerald (of the Valarie Plame investigation that unfairly ‘entrapped’ Scooter Libby) had an appointment outside the old expired law - as an Special Prosecutor. GWBush was more honorable ...and too trusting ....because the slimy Fitzgerald KNEW within the 1st week that a) the leak was inadvertent by b) Richard Armitage (an underling of Colin Powell, then Sec’y of State) and c) Valarie Plame had not been covert in the past 5 years and therefore the statute about ‘leaking a covert agent name’ didn’t apply. BUT - Fitzgerald spent $50 million trying to ‘collect a scalp’ and make a name for himself.
We need an HONEST special prosecutor to investigate Hillary - but it might get extended and cover all Hillary aides, people in the Clinton Foundation....and even Obama himself.
And yet it's true.
because Obama is just as lawless as she is.

Globalists are above the laws of nations. They use the laws of nations to suppress dissent. But they are not themselves subject to any laws. It’s not just your country. It is every western country.
The old law allowing Congress to appoint a special prosecutor expired.
Without that law, it is up to the DOJ to appoint a special prosecutor.
In the Valerie Plame case, the Democrats in Congress and the Media put pressure on the DOJ to appoint someone, so they did.
In the Hillary Clinton case, the Republicans in Congress and the Media put NO pressure on the DOJ to appoint someone, so they did not.
The Republicans in Congress could have sat on the Lynch confirmation or used the power of funding DOJ to apply pressure. They didn’t.
Because Obama is personally implicated.
Isn’t that like when Jeb Bush complained about Trump’s “tone?”
Federal politicians and the media lie to citizens all the time anyway and now they cry about political decorum.
