They are so utterly corrupt and contemptuous of the people they’re not even trying to hide it. They believe the general population is too stupid to know or even care. And they’re about half right on that. The average person is too stupid to know or care. And half of them are even stupider than that. That’s why they are democrats.

I thought I heard one Fox News doofus say that both “the Chinese AND the Russians” are claiming credit.

Lovely when two sworn enemies can simultaneously work together against their real enemy ... and ALL for “The Donald’s” benefit!

“The enemy of my enemy is my friend,” is practiced in China and Russia too.

The more we hear about “this is the Russians doing this” the more skeptical I become about that possibility. And I was 90% skeptical before y’days outage. This is NOT the Russians. It is NOT easy to detect “who is behind it”, even if the apparently originating IP addrs are Russian. I would not be surprised if our intel agys could detect where the real perps are, but I would be ultra surprised to have them reveal that they know, can know, and do know.

This isn’t the Russians, and even if it is Russian hackers (vs “the government”) THAT there is no way to determine.

This is very reckless making these accusations. Here we have an administration that has blundered its way into all manner of debacle, and told lie after lie after lie trying to convince the public that it both knows what it is doing and yet is at zero fault for any of the apparent abysmal results. It has told lie after lie defending brazenly criminal behavior by Hillary, the White House, the DNC, and on and on. It has told lie after lie defending #BLM and had every manner of dirtbag at the White House, dozens and dozens of times. NOTHING has ever been its fault. ANYTHING that has happened that has had a favorable outcome, this was the sheer genius of Barack 0bama shining through the cacaphony of Republican opposition and obstructionism. What we have here is an admin that has done nothing wrong, from January 21 2009 to today. The odds that this admin is telling the truth about this are vanishingly small.

Or has FNC got it wrong, is lying? If so, why? To discredit Wikileaks?

Who in Hades do we trust?!?

We may never know but I think that it’s improbable that John Kerry and the US State Department cut off Julian Assange’s internet access a couple of days before this attack and that anonymous acting on behalf of WikiLeaks didn’t do this.

Here is the map of the attack. San Diego to San Francisco, Seattle, metropolitan North East, excluding Maine, South to the Virginia suburbs of D.C. - and west to Chicago, and - - - Austin, Texas. Tell me again what is wrong with this. It's like guided missiles against the belly of the beast. If this is Wikileaks supporters, these guys are good.

Likely correct.
Some infosec SME sources disagree with gov’t / MSM blame that Russia did it.
http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/who-shut-down-u-s-internet-friday-n671011

Preliminary analysis I’ve seen shows that a large amount of the DDoS traffic actually originated with the US specifically from a Kansas air force base.
Still trying to get a definitive quotable source to cite here.

Jim, many Very Much depend on your site for reliable news.
Please provide your input on how you envision providing our FR community with three comms objectives:
1. What alternate FR sites should we use in case FR does not resolve due to DNS name resolution problem, or its been taken down?

2. What reliable independent news sources should we access when the Internet is down, ie: shortwave conservative broadcast frequencies, ie: Trunews.com shortwave station, Oath keepers, for instance?

3. In the event when the SHTF, how can fellow FReepers communicate for SITuation REPorting, ie: HF shortwave WinLink email data packet radio transmission, 2 meter voice repeater?

Has this topic come up before and what are your thoughts?

The coup has already happened, January 20, 2009, Usurpation Day

All of our elected and appointed oath takers who took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution stood around and let an ineligible usurper assume the office he was ineligible to hold.

Assange may have been coopting the outage as a chance to project his group’s imaginary power. Regarding the government, this may indeed have been a government manuvre. However I would think that the government could shut everything down much slicker than a denial of service, but who knows... All we know is that our government is in collusion with a outside force that clearly wants to destroy what we know as The United States of America

Exactly. And I’d wager to bet it was the US Governmemt that did it.

I pretty much guessed that.

Had that been a real coup, we would have seen the Internet go down, foreign troops in the streets and mass arrests. If it was a coup, it was a stealth coup.

It wasn’t a coup, it was national suicide.

Even if he were to lose, Donald Trump has now and for all time revealed the irredeemable corruption in the American government and across the mainstream American media. There is no more controlling the narrative for them. They cannot regain what they have lost these past several months and especially these past few weeks. More people have had their eyes opened than ever before to the truth: that they have been exploited and manipulated for generations. Is it possible that Hillary is going to win? Admittedly, yes. But sooner than later she may come to regret the day in college that she ever saw Billy Jeff laying under the tree smoking his weed and decided to latch onto him. For fifty years she’s done everything she can to seize and hold onto power. If she wins next month it will be at the uttermost WRONG time possible for a politician. The American people are angry, and getting angrier. And one way or another their wrath is going to pour onto her. It may not be as harsh as what the Ceaucescus got, but it will be harsh enough.
