NFL gone. Then what? Some idiot does the same thing in baseball, and we go after MLB? Someone does something in the NBA, and we shut them down?I guess it is sad, nut the NFL could have gotten a handle on this but chose to support the BLM players. Sorry, but they should never have put fans in a position where they were asked to support people who disrespect the flag, the country and the fans. It's not your grandfather's NFL.

If you can't go cold turkey then only watch your team. if your team is not playing, don't turn on NFL games. An don't watch the highlights shows on ESPN, FSN or the NFL network. Stay away from the pre-game shows as well. Above all, no NFL merchandise!
You will be surprised how much that will impact them.

The NFL is not an icon...stop putting so much on weight on a game and marketing engine.
Go to your local high school game, they will more than appreciate the clapping from you!

I am an avid football fan, and I have not watched one — not ONE! — pro football game this season. College football, you bet! But NFL? Hell NO!

If we were to drive the NFL out of business, we will have lost an American ICON. I would suggest that referring to any form of vicarious entertainment -- particularly through television -- as an "American ICON" is a symptom of a nation that is dying. No offense -- but the sooner we get over that mindset, the better off we'll be.
This attitude is how we end up with bankrupt cities that can't even afford to keep the streets paved soaking their taxpayers for billion-dollar entertainment venues that only get used 10-15 times a year. There is absolutely nothing "iconic" about that, and I'd suggest there ought to be nothing American about it, either.
Find something else to do on a Sunday, and you'll be amazed at how silly and pointless the whole thing really is.

They had the game on at the restaurant last night. Brother noticed one of the Broncos doing the kneel-down. I don’t watch much football as it is, but none at all this year.

The thing that disturbs me about this effort, is here we are trying to drive something very Americana out of business.
We have to destroy the PCNFL to save football.

I don’t give a fig about sports, especially professional
sports OR television in general. Gave up soap operas about
45 yrs. ago, then t.v. for the most part. It all has become
PRAVDA to me. The media is so in the tank for Hitler-y
Clintoon it’s comical. Our little local newspapers,
of course, always endorse the Dhimmicrat no matter if he’s
just an old yellow dog (& I love dogs, too).

Look how much major sports LOVE the mayhem when they release a new pair of Air Jordans.
It would be a good thing if Michael Jordan were to do some PSA, with Black Friday approaching to admonish the "homies" to "chill" and quit acting like savages whenever a new Air Jordan sneaker is released. But lately he's too preoccupied threatening to move the NBA all star game out of NC because of the bathroom bill. BTW if he's so opposed to "gender segregation" he can set an example by working to merge the WNBA into the NBA, the way NBA took over remnants of the old ABA back in the 70's (Nets, Spurs, Pacers, Nuggets). Then call on the other leagues and the NCAA to end the practice of "gender specific" teams.

Things don’t always turn out the way we think.
To these folks, it’s just a lack of interest in the sport.
Who is going to step up to create a new league when the last one was abandoned?
I appreciate hearing the alternate view. Take care.
