The thing that disturbs me about this effort, is here we are trying to drive something very Americana out of business.

Granted we’re POd that Kaepernick got away with what he did, and that the NFL has sided with him (essentially).

In the end though, something that is a big deal, something we all have grown up with and have loved, is now the focus of our anger.

Kaepernick is the dillweed here. So are the NFL leaders. I say get rid of the bad seeds and keep the NFL.

It’s like were trying to kill baseball, or football, or the NBA, aren’t we cutting off our nose to spite our face?

If we were to drive the NFL out of business, we will have lost an American ICON.

I’m not that big into sport these days, but I would hate to see the NFL gone. Then what? Some idiot does the same thing in baseball, and we go after MLB? Someone does something in the NBA, and we shut them down?

I’ve enjoyed an awful lot of beer with friends over football and baseball games. I don’t want to see any of our core social frameworks destroyed.

There must be a better way to cause change, than destroying great American pastimes to make a point. In effect the Jihadists will laugh their socks off at us, for doing something they couldn’t.

Football won’t die. Just the NFL. If that is what it takes to kill NBC then it is high time.

Sports will be with us.

Are are driving the anti-American corporations (NFL, ABC, CBS, NBC, and even Fox) away from their profits.

If their profits collapse, they’ll go bankrupt or be ripe for a takeover. Maybe a conservative will buy CBS and toss all the liberal news fools out and revamp it.

We are weaponizing our viewing/buying power to destroy the prime enemy of our nation right now - the leftist media and their overlords.

Seems worth missing a year or two of a sport to save the nation, right?

We need to make the NFL pay a price, in a big way. The boycott seems to be working, I say keep pushing. The idea that it could bring down the networks is even better.

Personally, I've been advocating people change their insurance to a company in the south. I probably pay $4000/year for Life/auto/home. Used to go with companies out of the Northeast, but transferred to USAA. Why should I pay salaries to people in the NE that elect Representatives that vote against my interests?

Also, someone mentioned that Rush and Trump have the resources to start their own football league - be nice if something like that happened.

PS - need to take down NCAA as well.

Well, I remember when back in the eighties people said it was stupid to boycott a network just because of one queer on some sitcom nobody watched. Really, maybe nobody much did watch it because I can't remember the name but I do remember that there were people who said that if ignored there'd be a token faggot on every show, in commercials, and so on.

Shame we lost an American institution called the Family Sitcom but what the heck, we still have the flaming faggots all over television.

Just a thought.

The Dallas Cowboys were, that I’m aware of, the Only team that wanted to publically display support for the Police of the this nation proudly on their uniforms.............the NFL told them NO............I will watch them, boycott the rest..........Who knows maybe the NFL will “see a pattern”?
Problem is what do I do when the Cowboys play a despicable team like the Eagles with their “black power” fists in the air....but actually I think its ok, I think they are just telling the world how many superbowls they have won..I don’t think its a “political statement” LOL

End of NFL. Not football. NFL collapses, new league arises. Anthem protestors won’t be hired by any team.

I disagree. Remember that the NFL exists as a monopoly and has done everything it can to preserve that monopoly against all comers. Including, ironically, Donald Trump and the USFL.

If the NFL dies, we’ll get something better. Maybe folks will start watching sport shooting instead and share beers over an IDPA match. Or another, better football league will come about.

Another thing to consider is that sports tastes are shifting. And that’s probably a good thing. MMA is replacing boxing for example.

I get your point and agree, but short of shooting these media bastards, we don’t really have any peaceful options left. We are basically fighting a non-shooting civil war with the left, and with war comes sacrifice.

Media coverage is how a criminal career shit-fingered Midas and her rapist husband are leading in the polls against a guy who says the word pussy on camera. Media coverage is how women step forward at the 11th hour to allege groping charges against Trump with instant credibility, but discussion of Broaddrick, Willey, Jones, Epstein’s Lolita Island go unreported.

Fact is, the NFL is the revenue stream is keeping the lights on at these networks that are hell-bent on destroying our values and way of life. We are totally outgunned in this kind of information war, but destroying their NFL revenue stream is a nuclear weapon in their executive offices. It’s time to hit the button.

This organization coddles thugs who choose to dishonor the American flag, as well as prevent a member team from honoring law enforcement personnel who are under attack by thugs and racists. It is no longer Americana....

“I don’t want to see any of our core social frameworks destroyed.”

Society survived before pro sports and TV, in fact many would say maybe it was better. I remember some men sitting around a pot belly stove in the general store telling lies. It was a great time to be a kid.

I guess it is sad, nut the NFL could have gotten a handle on this but chose to support the BLM players. Sorry, but they should never have put fans in a position where they were asked to support people who disrespect the flag, the country and the fans. It's not your grandfather's NFL.

The NFL is not an icon...stop putting so much on weight on a game and marketing engine.

Go to your local high school game, they will more than appreciate the clapping from you!

I would suggest that referring to any form of vicarious entertainment -- particularly through television -- as an "American ICON" is a symptom of a nation that is dying. No offense -- but the sooner we get over that mindset, the better off we'll be.

This attitude is how we end up with bankrupt cities that can't even afford to keep the streets paved soaking their taxpayers for billion-dollar entertainment venues that only get used 10-15 times a year. There is absolutely nothing "iconic" about that, and I'd suggest there ought to be nothing American about it, either.

Find something else to do on a Sunday, and you'll be amazed at how silly and pointless the whole thing really is.

Tough decision, where the hell would you start picking the “bad seeds”?
