This column is tough to write. I know that, out of context, I might be accused of wanting to pull punches on GOP nominee Donald Trump and on many of his extreme, hateful supporters.
The opposite is the case. Two points about Trump and some of his most extreme supporters cannot be denied.

Is this a column written by a campaign who thinks they have the election in the bag? Discuss.

Every time I see Davis I’m reminded of Ron Moody as Fagan in “Oliver!”

A hateful man who would gladly send all who dare to oppose the Clintons off to death camps.

Oh, yeah. Stronger together. I get it. Kinda like an old Roman fascis, (meaning “bundle”) it’s a bound bundle of wooden rods, sometimes including an axe with its blade emerging.
You can break one rod easily, but together, they are strong. I cant remember offhand, but it seems like there’s a political philosophy about that. I’m sure i’ll think of it.

Lanny sounds a tad bit worried that maybe things are not quite as rosy as the media portrays it.

This article almost sounds like it was written by an eighth grader.

I sent this to Trump team to use hillarys own slogan against her.
Went nowhere. I thought it would be great. Really explode some heads.

And didn’t it have something to do with a government/business partnership? And everything inside the state, nothing outside?

I remember when McCarthy, a senator from Wisconsin, threatened a young man on TV because of a political club the young man had belonged to years before when he was in law school. I felt frightened.
Lanny Davis is a lying sack, he was 9 years old and felt frightened?
Not only that but Joe McCarthy was right!

Which does not sound like the Trump model, which is more libertarian.

These Washington insiders are smart enough to realize that the biggest threat to Hillary Clinton isn't that she might lose support due to the steady drip of damaging information about her criminal conduct ... it's that Trump is attracting a lot of non-partisan voters who are just p!ssed off that their country isn't even recognizable anymore.
Case in point ...
I wasn't even a Trump supporter in the Republican primaries, and I still have serious reservations about how a Trump administration would operate. And yet I donated money to his campaign within the last week -- the first time I've ever made a political donation in my life.
The last Republican presidential candidate I voted for was George W. Bush in 2000. I'd walk 500 miles in bare feet to vote for Trump in two weeks.

I think it’s possible, and also that McCarthy eventually bit off more than he could chew and got smacked down for it.
The trouble with his game is that it did not know where to stop.
Which has nothing to do with Hillary’s situation either. This wasn’t “years ago way old” “membership in a club.” This was breaking laws.
