My first thought as well.

There are honest people inside the FBI who are disgusted. They should have spoken out sooner, and en masse (an open letter signed by 300 agents saying they disagreed with Comey, would have been nice)or 300 agents retiring early and stating the same would have made the news.

If Clinton is afraid of the “optics” of this he obviously shouldn’t have issued the pardon. He has only himself to blame.
