MANCHESTER, N.H. —New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte conceded the Senate race to Gov. Maggie Hassan Wednesday evening.

he concession announcement comes after Democratic Gov. Maggie Hassan declared victory in the closely-watched U.S. Senate battle against the Republican incumbent.

"I just spoke with Gov. Hassan to congratulate her on her election to serve in the U.S. Senate," Ayotte said in a statement. "I wish Gov. Hassan, her husband, Tom, and their children, Ben and Meg, the very best."

Hassan is pledging to work with President-elect Donald Trump "when it's in the best interest of New Hampshire and the country," and she promises to stand up to him when it's not.

I’ll take 25% of “our will” over zero! Next phase work for 50%, then next phase 75% and so on!

That's worked really well these last 8 years fighting Obama, hasn't it?

Kelly Ayotte has no one to blame but herself for her loss. She stabbed conservatives who voted her into power in the back once she got elected.

Time and time again she had an opportunity to stop Obama but she did nothing.

She stabbed Donald Trump in the back and treated him like a pariah, alienating hundreds of thousands of REPUBLICAN voters who supported him. Although I still voted for her, many who had voted for her in the past rightfully took offense and refused to vote for her: "She doesn't need us, we don't need her either".

Howe Carr, who has a daily radio show that reaches a massive audience throughout New Hampshire invited Kelley Ayotte to appear on his show a multitude of times AND KELLY REFUSED EVERY TIME. She wouldn't give him the time of day. She lost by just 700 votes! She could have had thousands of votes, but she determined, she didn't need ours!

I love these people that say "Oh, we just need the "R"'s, they'll save us!" Back in 2010, the GOP told us, "Just give us the House, and we'll fight Obama!" And we gave them the House. What did they do? NOTHING!

They in 2012, they said "Just give us the House AND the Senate, and we'll fight Obama" and we gave them both chambers, and what did they do? NOTHING!

Then they said "Just give us the House, the Senate, and our hand-picked candidate (Jeb) for the Presidency, and we'll fix everything!" And we said NO!

We have had it with these damned RINOs. They are useless. Take the medicine. We'll suffer for a short while, but the GOP will be healthier as a result. This STUPID strategy of always keeping these USELESS RINOs because they have an "R" after their name is what got us into this mess!

It didn’t work because we didn’t have the numbers!

And had no realistic way of getting to them and what we did have was managed incompetently.

Yeah, right. Useless. It didn't work because the RINOs knew they could get away with their backslapping dealmaking with the RATs and suffer no consequences, because the idiots at home would keep voting them in.

Open your eyes.

Talk host Howie Carr said she could have
appeared at a pro Trump rally the other night (go back on her refusing to vote for
Trump) and that could have helped her get
votes. She wound up getting blanked by many.
Lost by 700 votes.Think she wrote in Pence.

“Now it is clear they don’t have that excuse any longer. “

So...you think Trump’s mandate is greater than what Reagan had, or GWB?

Their excuse was always just a bald-faced lie to excuse doing what they wanted to do. And what they wanted didn’t differ much from what Hillary wanted. The NeverTrumpers preferred Hillary. And they preferred her because she came closer to representing their views!

People like Kelly Ayotte would point out Trump lost the popular vote, and therefor any nominee he makes needs to be moderate...the sort Hillary would have made. People like Kelly Ayotte and John McCain are traitors. They are not our friends.

Strange... New Hampshire was once a conservative state.

We have been over run by MassHoles for the past twenty years.

New Hampshire is now Northern Mass. Not the same state it was twenty to thirty years ago.

It is sad. I am a born and bread Granite Stater. My parents were right nothing good comes from Mass.

New Hampshire still hasn’t been called for Trump.

If Ayotte had supported Trump, likely they both would have had a clear win.

Her sliming Trump discouraged undecided potential Trump voters in NH, and alienated and angered strong Trump supporters in NH from her.

I’m just disappointed to see one of the few decent-looking Senators go. Now we have Joni Ernst left and not sure who else.

Well, that new one Kamala Harris might be the new champion. Too bad she’s Obama 2.0.

If Ayotte had supported Trump, likely they both would have had a clear win.

That's exactly the problem -- as a RINO she undercut Trump's momentum by siding with the Democrats. If Ayotte had done what any real Republican conservative would have done -- or even just somebody who was a loyal party supporter, she would have won and Trump would have taken NH easily.

What good is a Republican Senator who goes out of their way to help the Democrats? Her decisions in this election hurt Trump and it cost her, and the Republican party, a seat in the Senate.

Kelly Ayotte should have embraced Donald Trump's candidacy. She chose poorly. How much did she lose by, I wonder?

Although I want us to have as much power as possible in the senate, she was a backstabbing RINO. Won’t miss her.

She gave up on Trump, and lost the election, Another true-blue Rino gone! Lots of critters in D.C. Swamp.
