I appreciate the tip.
Very true!

Thank you for your concern Spirit of Liberty.
I admire Speaker Gingrich. And I think that Trump has praised both Gingrich and Sessions.
H O W E V E R
After all the crap that the unconstitutionally big federal government has put us though in the last 100+ years, especially since the FDR Administration, the only people that I wouldnt challenge knowledge of Congresss Constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers is James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, and other pro-state sovereignty founders.
In fact, I wouldnt be surprised if many FReepers now know more specifics about the feds Section 8-limited powers than Gingrich and Sessions do.
Speaker Gingrich with the mother of unconstitutional Obamacare. (I hope FrumForum is okay in Free Republic.)

Well now, I didn’t say either one was perfect. LOL But a lot better than some other choices.
I don’t expect Trump (or any of the people around him) to be flawless. He wasn’t a flawless candidate, and he won’t be a flawless President. He’s not as conservative as I would want. But I seem to recall him stating that gay marriage (or was it abortion?) was a state’s issue, not a federal one. So he seems to be off to a good start.
We’re not going to turn this ship around in one fell swoop. Trump will have to give some here to get something that he really wants over there; that’s the way of a negotiator. He’s fighting an uphill battle with Congress, on both sides of the aisle. He has a narrow path to steer this ship of state through without running it onto the rocks.
Are you Mark Levin in disguise??
I can’t wait to see Ali’s face, when RSBN waltzes in to the first presser :)
Also....that gets Reince out of the RNC head seat, leaving room for someone else to fill it....
"Your the one with doubts on President Elect Trump's negotiating abilities and knowledge of the constitution and selecting people who will best serve our great country."
I dont know why you are characterizing me that way since I have never questioned Trumps leadership abilities. I supported Trump because of his patriotism and proven management skills.
Trump can wear a big S on his shirt if he wants to. But I still expect him to fly in a jet.
Also, I will repeat the following question from previous post since you didnt address it.
"And with all due respect NIKK, without looking, can you tell me why the Founding States made the Constitutions Section 8 of Article I?"
Why dont you start asking you family, friends, and co-workers why the Founding States made the Constitutions Section 8 of Article I? And then post in FR how they responded.
My only critique against Trump at this point is that his response to the question will probably not be any different than that of you family and friends. (My family didnt know what it is.)
In fact, Judge Andrew Napolitano will read Section 8 to you in under three minutes.
Judge Napolitano & the Constitution
The following excerpts help to clarify what Section 8 is.
Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. United States v. Butler, 1936.
No. And Im not a big Levine fan. But Ill accept that as a complement anyway. Ive learned a few things from Mr. Levin.
Consider that Trump has had no choice but to surround himself with state sovereignty-ignoring advisors, because thats all the the post-FDR era colleges have been turning out imo.
In fact, although Trump has stated (paraphrased) that he used to be an "assimilated government borg, he now at least thinks that he has been unassimilated, and he will be with the help of us patriots and Section 8.

I’ve added you.. welcome!
I remember an argument I was having with my Pen-Pal last year who lives in England. My argument was we had a Constitution to protect us whereas she didn't. After I wrote that statement later that night it hit me like a ton of bricks. I was preaching to her and later realized my country was no different than hers. It was then I started having doubts that our country would never be able to turn around. Donald stepped on the scene and I prayed he was the hope we needed. It was like God was listening and he made a miracle happen in front of my eyes.
before I post the new thread next Fridya I will research a bit to make sure we have ONE unique keyword (if might be a long one)
thanks for heads up on TrumpTranstion being over used...
