I watched the segment. Jake Tapper was very obnoxious in the way he framed the questions. Rudy was gentile but firm.
Trump and his lawyers will need to do much better than that if the goal is to keep the organization going during his presidency. Didnt’ we just go after Hillary and her shady Clinton Foundation? The public will be very quick to let Donald know that they don’t care about whether his kids have these high powered jobs. Seems to me enough people should own Trump enough favors to find positions for these three talented people for a while.
The left do not have a leg here for Trump’s children not to run the day-to-day operations of their companies, but they’ll attempt to BS it.
I saw Tapper harping on this particular fixation. What a stupid man! I kept visualizing in my mind: “I see stupid people. They don’t know they’re stupid.”
There is no conflict of interest with owning hotels and golf courses and being president. If Trump has a varied stock portfolio, there might be a need to put that in a blind trust.
If Trump has a concrete company near Mexico he should divest.
I always felt the blind trusts only served to hide what’s happening from public scrutiny.
The MSM Mafia’s line will be “Trump wants to decrease taxes for his companies. Trump needs to be impeached.”
Would it suffice for Trump to sell the business to his children? A billion or so should cover his retirement (in 8 years), or give him seed money to start over then.
