Why Donald Trump and his supporters want you to think protests against him are manufactured
Washington Post ^ | November 14, 2016 | Phillip Bump

One out of every 40 people in America lives in New York City. The area's population is 8.4 million, more than in 39 other states. For every vote cast for Donald Trump in the city last Tuesday, more than four were cast for Hillary Clinton; she earned 79 percent of the vote.

In the wake of Trump's victory, thousands of protesters crowded the streets of Manhattan (where Trump got fewer votes than he did on Staten Island, where the population is a third smaller) outside Trump Tower. It's hard to know how many were there, but let's assume it was 5,000 people. That would mean that a fraction of a percent of the city took time to ride the train in and make their voices heard, assuming no one came in from anywhere else. Protests of thousands of people in New York really aren't that uncommon, which could have been a reasonable thing to point out if you wanted to brush the event away.

That's not the angle that Trump and his supporters took. Instead, the president-elect and his backers decided to dismiss the protests in New York and other cities — cities that contain hundreds of thousands of people who mostly voted against Trump — as being the work of “paid protesters.” In a tweet, Trump decided that the “professional protesters,” in his formulation, were also “incited by the media,” which doesn't make much sense.

And the police determined who had registered to vote. Not many.

"To get rid of the Electoral College, you need a Constitutional amendment, which requires ratification by 38 states."

I can't even began to possible imagine under what circumstance that the libs could find 38 states willing to give up their rights under the constitution for a fair and equal standing in the election process...

Insanity..?? Zombie attack..?? What.???

The phone number on several that were passed around link back to the Community Outreach Group, which was mostly hiring for campaign work. “””

1. The 2016 campaign is over...

2. It is WAAAAAY early to be starting the next Presidential campaign...

3. Who is Community Outreach Group?

Obama told us all that he had shut down ACORN, but there was evidence at the time that he had instead fractured the ACORN organization into many, many other groups. Is this group listed here one of those fractures???

4. Would any of these snowflakes be out there is they were not getting paid or getting stirred up by those who are getting paid.??

5. Hard to buy that any of this is spontaneous when there are so many professionally printed signs everywhere.

6. Trump needs to issue search warrants for the records of the BUS COMPANIES who are seen at these events. Local Conservatives need to find those buses & take down license plates, etc, for LEO follow up. Someone is paying for those buses. They cannot take money in without reporting it in their income tax records, and since there is so much damage attached to these protests, search warrants are in order on this topic, IMO.

|I have said it before and I will say it again, these people and the ones wreaking havoc far and wide, including those at Trump Rallies had no fear or concern that they would be arrested for their crimes. The question should be ,why? The only logical answer is that they were informed by their leaders and sponsors that the police had orders from on high not to interfere with them.

Well, this is someone I love very much....despite her liberal waywardness. We have agreed to disagree. But when she hits me with these articles, I feel I have to respond with facts. Maybe I am just working on a lost cause.”””

You are violating your own agreement.

“You have agreed to disagree’.....

So- next time she brings something up, tell her you are NOT responding. You have an agreement to disagree...

End the circle of madness if you want to retain this person in your life.

However, as a person just days shy of 77, I can assure you that letting these people go out of your life will increase your happiness by many fold, decrease your ulcer & sleeplessness by many fold & you will then have more room in your life for friends who are CONSERVATIVE.

We all have only 24 hours in every day, and none of us know how many days we will have. I try to make the best of the days & I have learned to let go of the takers & the ones who are hell-bent on refusing to see the rising water...We need to drain the swamp & I can’t wait to find out all the hidden parts of the crap in that swamp. At my age, I have learned I cannot fix stupid.....

I match it to the women who won’t leave an abusive boyfriend/husband. AS long as you are spending all your time & energy living with the abusive person, you will NEVER have time to find a truly nice person who will love you and not beat you.

Anyone who finds these buses in their area need to write down the following:

Date——Time-—Location-—Name of bus line-—ALL the license plates they can find.

Then forward this information to Trump & local police for investigation.

Warrants to get the information about WHO rented those buses needs to be part of the clean up.

It was noted that more than half the Portland, OR arrests were of people who had not voted at all. I imagine the %s are true of NYC and other cities.

Awesome work on these “spontaneous” protests. Everyone here knows these are professional agitprop agents running herd on useful idiots. The FACT that these groups are openly communist doesn’t seem to phase anyone in the current climate—I guess that’s what 50 years of communists running our universities gets us. Every time I see one of these “protests,” these printed signs are everywhere, and not one MSM story ever mentions them. Thank God, people are waking up to the treason, but I fear it won’t last.

In my experience, most Americans have a short attention span and little self discipline. They want a hero to make everything right so they don’t have to worry about it anymore. It’s time for us to stand up and call out the enemy—both the seditious organizations and their protection (AKA the press). It’s so refreshing to see and hear the video bombers. We can disrupt their narrative and we can beat them.

IMO, that would be pure ‘happenstance’ & not all of us have cell phone that take pics. However, I can always carry a pen & can write ON MY HAND if I have to.

SOMEONE rented these buses. Someone paid the bill. That is the kind of information it would take for Trump to prosecute for the damages at least. IF I owned a business in any of these places, I would be very angry that the local politicians were allowing MY business to be damaged while they twiddle their thumbs in support of such crap. I wonder how the insurance companies are going to address the damages???

I took part in some TEA Party events in the early days and we showed up, spouted our disagreents with the government in general terms(It was non-partisan in that we felt Republicans were also to blame for going along with or promoting un-traditional Republican ideals) we shared food and drinks and before we left we always cleaned the places up.

Consistently we remarked it would be cleaner than before we showed up and the city really should encourage us to assemble more often, as we saved taxpayers some money on city resources.

Yes...those types of things would be much harder to track down, and would all be explained away by advocates and the media as “grassroots efforts”, which we know damn well, aren’t.

They would say, with a smirk on their face, that they were just “concerned citizens coming together spontaneously”.

I can think of other things I wish they would spontaneously do...
