MEMORANDUM FOR THE SECRETARY OF STATE
SUBJECT: Eligibility of the Multinational Force and Observers to Receive Defense Articles and Defense Services Under the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 and the Arms Export Control Act
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, including section 503(a) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 and section 3(a)(1) of the Arms Export Control Act, I hereby find that the furnishing of defense articles and defense services to the Multinational Force and Observers will strengthen the security of the United States and promote world peace.
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, including section 503(a) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 and section 3(a)(1) of the Arms Export Control Act, I hereby find that the furnishing of defense articles and defense services to the Multinational Force and Observers will strengthen the security of the United States and promote world peace.
You are authorized and directed to transmit this determination and the accompanying memorandum of justification to the Congress and publish this determination in the Federal Register.

The MFO is a peacekeeping force stationed along the eastern edge of the Siani. The US has the largest contingent of Soldiers. It’s neither UN or NATO or anything else. The MFO is it’s own entity with HQ in Italy.
The MFO actually does a good job and is useful. I think the memo is simply a continuation of whats been there since the 70s.
BTW, I was assigend to the MFO with the US contingent 2006-2007. I was the US Intel NCO.
The MFO is a result of the Camp David accords, providing a buffer zone between Israel and Egypt.
It is and always has been, a huge waste of American tax $.

CAIR just declared war on the United States.
I guess the UN will send a task force to help them out.
They got about 60 days to do it....deadline Jan 20th.
MFO is in Sinai between Egypt and Israel. I was stationed there in the late 80’s at the closest checkpoint to St Kat’s monastery and Mt Sinai.
Now the area is heavily ISIS.
The Bedouins are our best allies there.
This is to support the Multinational Force and Observers mission in the Sinai. I sat in on briefing on this very topic. The MFO, historically was an easy deployment watching the Israelis and Egyptians not shoot at each other starting in 1982. This changed drastically when local radicals joined the Islamic State about three years ago. As that threat has matured and developed, the MFO has had to harden their positions and bases.
To properly protect their soldiers (from the US, Columbia, and Fiji, plus small numbers from other nations) from developing threat, the MFO have asked for certain force protection equipment. Due to export control legislation, they need the President’s approval. Now they have it, and DoD can push this equipment to them.
He wants martial law.
He wants martial law.
If we see a blue helmet on U.S. soil, we’ll know what to do.
