As climate negotiators work out the details of the Paris Agreement on global warming in Marrakech, Morocco, the question on everyone’s minds is: What will the Trump administration do?
The president-elect has expressed skepticism about the Paris Agreement, and for good reason. American households and businesses will incur [1] higher energy costs and a weaker economy while seeing meaningful change in global temperatures.
Here are three steps the new administration should take to unwind Paris:
1. Withdraw from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. In 1992, United Nations member states attended the Conference on Environment and Development. More commonly known as the Rio Earth Summit, the meeting led to the signing of the framework convention.
The purpose of the framework convention is to stabilize man-made greenhouse gas emissions to prevent [2] “dangerous anthropogenic interference with the climate system.” This widespread international approach has been costly, ineffective, and unworkable.
Article 25 [3] of the framework convention says that any party can withdraw from the convention three years after the framework has entered into force by submitting a written notice [3] to the depositary. The depositary is the secretary-general of the United Nations.
Doing this would withdraw the U.S. from any protocol to which it is a party (including Paris) and would enter into force one year after the depositary receives the notification of withdrawal.

The ‘way out’ is the “advise and consent” clause in the Constitution.
While we are at it, let’s pull out of the UN altogether.
This reform will not last as long as the basic premise of man-made global warming continues to be accepted by low information voters. The first step in challenging this is to end the terrorization of the skeptics.

What the H does meaningful change in global temperatures actually mean? Did someone’s pen slip? How in H does someone think we are going to see meaningful change in global temperatures? Is someone in direct contact with God?
Delay is not dead. Must get out of it & move UN to another country.

And this would be a good time to make sure the world realized that. That anything they make with one dumbass president is only good for his term... IF he can get people to go along with it.
The way out would be to tell them to kiss our ass. Being ruled by a Frenchman. I never thought that the United States of America could sink that low. But the voters in 2008 and 2012 made a believer out of me.

Just another term for UN plunderers. Kick the UN out of the USA. They might have been formed for an altruistic purpose in 1945, because there should be an international forum for nations to communicate through. At this point the UN has devolved into a giant fiasco.

I don’t understand why anyone would consider this “agreement” to be binding.
All well and good but all Trump needs to do is send a letter stating that the Paris Agreement was never ratified by the Senate and is therefore not binding upon the United States.
I think Trump should tell the UN and all those globalistas that they have 30 days to come up with a plan of action, the cost of the action, the risk analysis of the action and the benefits of the action.
After all those years, if that cannot be presented within 30 days, at the UN, on National TV then the US is pulling out of all treaties and will begin prosecution of any person involved in this fraud, starting with Al Gore.
No because they keep telling us this isn’t a treaty. Moreover I do not trust Mitch to vote this down. The senate is populated with spineless cowards....save Jeff Sessions

Yes. Most of us have been saying this for decades. The UN serves no purpose other than taking our money.
