During a news conference in Peru this evening, President Barack Obama responded to a question regarding his advice to Democrats now that they’ve lost the White House and whether or not they should re-elect Nancy Pelosi as their House leader.
After complimenting Pelosi calling her a “remarkable leader,” Obama moved on to telling Democrats that they should give the new administration a “hearing.” He also commented on how he was treated by Republicans when he took office.

Funny, that’s how I remember it, too. Seems to me I remember the day after the election in 2008, this latter day Nostradamus was bewailing his fear that the GOP looked like it was becoming just a regional party. His considered views were informed, of course, by the fact that he’s a stupid, cowardly, defeatist weasel. Anyway, that’s how I remember it.

President Ford gave some advice once. The initial reports are always wrong. An ex-President does not stay around Washington D.C. after his term has expired.
I don't think it was Mitch McConnell. I believe it was the GOP House leadership who had that meeting. Regardless, it's too late. The Democrats have already decided on that course of action.
Can't say as I blame him. If I were Obama I would not want the dems to fold like a house of wet cards and do whatever Trump demands of them.
