The NEA and all other public sector unions need to be found illegal and disbarred immediately

Agree with you 100%. And the fact that they are bad-mouthing DeVos is proof that Trump has made an excellent choice.

Bad “teachers” will get what they deserve
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
And what they deserve is to be tested for competency and loyalty to America, and failing either one they should be fired.

Given the continuous drop in the metric measurements of the school children in the USofA, one wonders if the NEA is for the teacher or the student! Also consider that the funding of and for the public schools is at all time highs and much greater (per capita) than any other nation on Earth!

Dear NEA, the proof is in the outcome - YOU ARE FAILING!

They are the biggest bullies of all!! They pack PTA meetings to get themselves appointed to roles that influence school boards. Mostly those are PE or art or music teachers, rather than classroom teachers.

Its also the students. They aren’t there to learn. They balk at a History professor demanding proper spelling and grammar, or footnotes and proper sourcing. Out of 100 students in one World History Survey class, I had 24 plagiarize their 5 page paper. 25% plagiarized and then complained to the dean when I failed them.

When I was in school I was there to learn, not party.

I’ve checked into them and yeah it would be a help. SD is not a homeschool friendly state, unfortunately.

Well, they will certainly be able to help you. Also, home schoolers love to network and support each other. May can find some in your area. I was shocked at how many were in our county. We get together twice a year.

Now that I rent out the farm, we are moving next year in large part to be near the city so there are homeschool groups and more activities for her.

If teachers’ fear of cutting off the NEA can be ended, that would be phenomenal. I think a great many would flip against the NEA in a heartbeat. They know that the anti-American, anti-God, socialist and queer heart of the NEA is putrid. Fear keeps the in line. National PTA, too, because their dues income comes mainly from the union teachers, so they don’t oppose any NEA positions.
