The headline seems a bit misleading. I assume that pretty much every local store sells to anyone who walks in. The store clerks are not likely to ask every potential customer if they are a protester.

I can’t fault Ace on this. At least not based on the info I have so far.

Of course they are selling to the protesters. Ace Hardware is a franchise, each one is owned by the local store, no way is a small businessman in rural ND going to turn away that much business.

Right — why is this even a story? LOL. If a pipeline protester walked in and wanted to buy $10,000 worth of hardware store merchandise, Ace would be damn foolish to send them out the door empty-handed.

Agreed ... the way I see it is that, as long as they’re not GIVING it to them, but rather are SELLING it to them, it’s just business as usual.
