Is this weekend the EU DIES? Major votes in Italy and Austria could spark end of the bloc

THE EUROPEAN UNION looks set to be shattered by a potential influx of Eurosceptic country leaders who refuse to toe the line of the Brussels elite

This weekend Austria could be set to elect its first far-right leader while Italy could simultaneously lose its Europhile Prime Minister.

Both outcomes would be a massive blow to the Union as fear begins to spread around the the corridors of Brussels - both nations have put a vote to the people and could start the process of engineering themselves out of the EU.

The beleaguered EU boss Jean-Claude Juncker is watching his superstate dream slips away as the Brexit feeling from Britain spreads over the borders.

Terrified Mr Juncker admitted he knows Europeans have a “lack of love” for the Brussels club.

Mr Juncker said: “We can't deny or take away the people of Europe's right to express their views.

“Regarding referenda on EU membership, I think it is not wise to organise this kind of debate, not only because I might be concerned about the final result but because this will pile more controversy onto the huge number already present at the heart of the EU.”

And votes this weekend could be a crucial nail in the coffin.

Austria’s presidential election re-run will take place this weekend with voters heading to the polls on Sunday.

Hard right Norbert Hofer of the Freedom Party is up against former Green politician Alexander Van der Bellen and the stakes are high.

If Mr Hofer wins, he would be the first far-right head of state in the EU and it would cause uproar in the European Parliament.

Reminds me of when the Soviet Union disintegrated... How quickly it fell apart - The EU may be history in a couple of years, and won't be missed.

Brexit, Trump, and soon Austria and Italy and France - all reaffirming the concept of nationhood and the right to self determination by their CITIZENS.

The drive toward a one world government is dead.

FWIW, I heard a no vote in Italy (I want that) will disrupt our stock market on Monday, especially bank stocks.

Nope. Just the excuse they’re looking for to create the so-called “two-speed Europe”.

And did the USSR really disintegrate? It reintegrated rather quickly into the Eurasian Union.

“DIEU”
Kill two birds with one stone and add an N to DIEU.
They also misspelled Juncker. It should read Junker.

Yah, looks like people are wising up to the planned Nazi globalist dictatorship. The oligarchy is out of time. The Internet stopped their clock.

I’ve also heard it’s already baked in since most people have been expecting NO to win, but I think it’s going to have a down day, especially european stocks.

Also the Euro may take a beating, even though it is already down to $1.07.

The EU must die now if Europe is to live. This is the moment where Europe still has some hope to pull back from the abyss of nihilistic Leftism.

We are too close to this right now, but given enough time, historians may consider this era and the end of the Soviet Union to be part of the same event. The USSR was more communist than Western Europe or the US, so it collapsed first. But Western Europe and the US have a lot of socialist tendencies. We lasted longer, but we are still going bankrupt and breaking apart.

“Nope. Just the excuse they’re looking for to create the so-called “two-speed Europe”.”

Not a chance - if Hofer and NO win this will just snowball. Watch for the Dutch and the French go next.

“And did the USSR really disintegrate? It reintegrated rather quickly into the Eurasian Union.”

I’m not familiar with a country called the “Eurasian Union”. I must have a faulty atlas.

But I would agree that the Marxists didn’t disappear - they’re alive and well in the US and western Europe.

Not going to happen. Many of those you are citing are actually pro-union, but in their own image, and Hofer has said that he prefers a “better European Union” in fact. The euro currency is not necessarily a factor that a “united Europe” empire hinges on; and remember that the plans for a “two-speed Europe” have been in place for decades.

Putin has touted his collection of former Soviet states as the Eurasian Union, making it an economic union at first after the EU’s pattern, coming into being officially two years ago. I’m surprised you are not familiar with it.
