“The announcement that it would seek an emergency federal court order on Monday for a recount came hours after it dropped a case in the state courts.”

I would think pretty much any Federal court would immediately reject such a request because the issue isn’t ripe for Federal consideration since the plaintiff failed to exhaust all possible State remedies first.

Seeking a Federal court order at this point is nothing more than a cheap publicity stunt, certainly cheaper than actually following the actual Pennsylvania state law that requires a one million dollar bond to proceed, which would of course would be an EXPENSIVE publicity stunt.

Thanks for info about ‘ripeness’.

Ping;

Not all avenues were exhausted; she folded at the state level point, so fed ploy shouldn’t go anywhere.
