“If Hillary believes that she’s an aggrieved candidate, she needs to pursue this on her on behalf.”

I believe Hillary has missed all the deadlines that would allow her to do so.

They did pretty well with regard to elections. This was a decision by the Michigan Court of Appeals based upon state law.

The more I read the rulings: The first Federal Judge on Sunday ruled that the recount can proceed a few days earlier than MI Law. The Court of Appeals says that it must stop and the Canvassing Board should have stopped it. They meet tomorrow. If the agree, it’s over for now. Believe Stein will go to back to Federal Court and like you mentioned SCOTUS.

The Federal judge's ruling was not as outlandish as we might think. Basically, he was asked to rule on a very specific legal matter involving the recount process in Michigan. The facts as they were laid out before him were as follows:

1. Stein filed for a recount in Michigan, and the MI board of election canvassers deadlocked 2-2 on whether to authorize it. Because of the tie vote the recount was going to proceed.

2. Michigan law said the recount would start on Wednesday, December 7th.

3. Stein filed a petition in Federal court asking to court to order the recount to start on Monday (December 5th) in order to protect the interests of the Michigan voters.

4. The Michigan attorney general opposed this petition in the judge's hearing on Sunday, on the grounds that the AG had filed a suit in state court to stop the recount anyway.

5. IMPORTANT: In the Sunday hearing, the judge asked the AG if he could guarantee that a recount that started on December 7th could be completed by the December 13th deadline for finalizing the certified electors for MI. The Michigan AG said he could not guarantee that the recount would be done in time.

So the Federal judge was left with two options here:

A. Allow Michigan law to dictate the timing of the recount, and run the risk of having the recount not completed by December 13th.

B. Order the recount to begin on December 5th, which would be in violation of the MI statute but would improve the odds of completing the recount on time.

The judge did not rule on the merits of the Michigan AG's separate suit to stop the recount entirely under MI law. All the judge did was weigh the risks of Scenario A against the MI statutory requirements of Scenario B, and he decided that there would be no harm in starting the recount two days earlier than the date specified under MI law. He ruled (probably correctly) that the risk of an incomplete recount outweighed any inconvenience in starting the recount early.

If the Michigan courts later determined that the recount never should have been authorized in the first place by the canvassing board, then the recount he ordered could easily be stopped. The MI court decision today is the first step in stopping the recount he ordered.

Yes. If she felt aggrieved, she should have done so earlier. As it stands now, no aggrieved party has filed for a recount.

If I read all this correctly, the 6th Circuit ruling overrules that federal judge and instruct the MI AG and the MI courts to follow their state laws.

Agreed, they (the founding fathers) did pretty well. I was speaking in general terms about the judiciary. They just didn’t anticipate it would be hijacked and used as a political/social weapon by a corrupt win at any cost party.

Except she and her lawyers will ask that TWO of the MI SC judges recuse themselves because Trump mentioned them for SC picks and they would biased.

Eventually, she’ll appeal this to the UN, and when that doesn’t work she’ll file a brief with the Federation.

Well, she might try l doubt that would fly. Although it might. That is the difference between us & them. To avoid even the appearance impropriety our side will bend over their side forget it as long as they win is all that matters.

Everyone can pat themselves on the back and call the stopping of the Michigan Recount a “win,” but the real reason it was stopped is because the Democrats didn’t want any further scrutiny on the 180,000 Hillary votes in Wayne County that were reported by the vote-counting machines but that had no paper ballot to support them.

Vote fraud. En Masse. The Democrats were running the same Hillary ballot through 87 different vote-counting machines 180,000 times.

Well l hope you’re right because that means Mi Stays with Trump & if you are right the fraud can be dealt with in 2017 once and for all. What is unbelievable MANY if not most Detroiters really believe their votes are ot counted. Just listen to one of the Detroit talk radio shows you will be amazed.

Goldsmith won’t change his original order on the recount, but will find another angle to continue it.

That's my bet for popcorn too.

Far from over here in Mi. The Mi court has not ordered a halt to the recount. They are issuing a recommendation that it be stopped to the election board. It will be 2-2 tie (2 Dems) so It will not cancel the Hack Fed Judges order. A boatload of Wayne County (Detroit) ballots may not be able to be recounted because they were either not sealed or improperly sealed. Hmm.. l wonder what that means & l bet the usual suspects bitch & moan until a court orders that they get used. If Trump gets through this and sworn in l pray something gets done a about the country being at the mercy of activist political judges.

Bravo. Wish you had been on the other thread with us.

You are wrong on several counts.

And completely missing the undercurrents involved in this.
