Minutes after news broke that he withdrew his name from consideration for Secretary of State, Rudy Giuliani called in to Fox News to speak to Neil Cavuto about his decision.
Giuliani told Cavuto his desire to be in the Cabinet was great, but not that great, and he made his decision after seeing some of the other names of people on the list.
He said he made the decision he would be better as an outside advisor, while mentioning that there were people in Team Trump who wanted to keep him in consideration.
But as for who should get that coveted position, Giuliani is firmly in the not Mitt Romney camp. He told Cavuto that Romney went over the line in the things that he said about Donald Trump.

OF COURSE not romney.
he’s an ass.
let him box holeyfield again.
Perfect!
Giuliani on BOR now.
It should be John Bolton.
Someone mentioned on the Trump Rally thread that it would be interesting if Guliani was appointed a special prosecutor for a potential prosecution of Hillary and accomplices. That would be awesome. It was purely speculation, of course.
No, I don’t think it will be.
Agree. We do not need a Sec of State who won’t fight in war. Bolton is better.
I really like this Tillerson possibility.
I’m warming up to him too.
great group to choose from.
Ill go with the boss’s choice.
I really like this Tillerson possibility.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Apparently has more international connections regarding energy and the economy, than any of the others under consideration.
That’s my choice too .. but I’ve heard some people don’t like him either. Sadly, I didn’t pursue why they were against Bolton.
I think he’s a good choice .. because he knows where all the bodies are buried .. and he totally understands that the culture of the State Dept has to be uprooted.
I remember when Powell got the job, and the first thing he tried to do was input his own ideas, etc., into the mix, and it was a huge blow to him that he had to take directions from GW. I keep wondering if that “culture” still exists.
Bolton understands that the State Dept is a direct reflection of the President .. and that’s why I believe John would do a great job .. and he would be able to clean house while he’s there. And, I’m hoping that means that he will be able to ferret out exactly what Hillary was up to when she was Sec of State.
Yes, John Bolton
>> I didnt pursue why they were against Bolton <<
Bolton’s foreign policy is virtually indistinguishable from that of the neo-Cons. So Bannon probably doesn’t like him.
And Bolton is strongly anti-Putin. So General Flynn probably doesn’t like him.
(Also, Sen. Rand Paul said he’d try to block a Bolton nomination. But I doubt that he could do so.)
Say no to John Bush Bolton, and no Condolezza Rice.
