Rex Tillerson will be an extremely effective Secretary of State. He knows the world, he knows how to make deals internationally, and although it's hard for the Washington elites to comprehend that Donald J. Trump could nominate someone who is not a bureaucrat, Tillerson has exactly the right kind of determination and toughness we need to fix the State Department.

it’s hard to comprehend how the Washington elites in the Senate could confirm him!

Newt did an excellent job there.

I’ve been pretty harsh on him, so this was like a breath of fresh air for me.

I am glad he is not in the administration. Hopefully he can contribute in a positive way.

My reservations were some of his off the cuff comments from time to time. Sometimes he ways the exact wrong thing at precisely the wrong time.

the stark contrast between a highly competent, highly effective SOS that I expect Tillerson to be - and the incompetent disaster that was Hillary makes me smile. A kick in the balls to the Dems.

As I intimated in a pre-election post, Trump will be fighting the establishment (right and left) every step of the way.

I like RexT. Listened to his talk at the Economic Club on wide range of topics. Trump is right to select him! Down to earth man!

I urge you to watch Mr. Tillerson deliver this addresses at the Boy Scouts of America Orange County Council Leadership Breakfast on October 13, 2016 at the Hotel Irvine in Irvine, California. He is amazing. The values he holds dear are antithetical to everything Obama and cronies have been pushing down the nation's throat for eight interminable years. His belief in Scouting and his values alone highly recommend him.

I absolutely approve of the appointment of the highly-qualified, well-spoken, brainy businessman and leader, experienced world-traveler, upholder of pro-American values Mr. Tillerson, to be our next Secretary of State. Excellent choice by President-Elect Trump!

(...on top of that, I must add he looks just like a fierce American eagle! Hoo Yah !)

EAGLES UP, Freepers!

I am reminded of the line from Ghostbusters:

“They gave us money and facilities, we didn’t have to produce anything! You’ve never been out of college! You don’t know what it’s like out there! I’ve WORKED in the private sector. They expect *results*.”

Thinks some people in State are in for a rude awakening?

I wonder if Tillerson is a sacrificial lamb. Give the wolves (libs, progressives and RINOs) something to prey upon, something to get their pound of flesh so that they can claim victory when they reject him.

Then, Trump can nominate the real SOS he had in mind all along.

Meanwhile, since the wolves got their lamb, they’ll leave the rest alone.
