Flyover is a derogatory term used to look down their noses on those 'hayseeds' in the midwest and southern states. The Democrats and the Mainstream media still use it even though they've been told (through this election) that we hate it!

Many years ago I saw how the easterners looked at the farmers in the USA, between 1830 and 1870.

In 1830, the Farmer was the emblem of America. Good work ethic, Industrious, provided the food that made America strong, made a living wresting life from the ground, always on the advancing edge of civilization.

After the Civil War, and industrialization came in, the farmer was looked on as the backward ignorant “hayseed”, the rube, the redneck.
