Ainge is not the most credible person when it comes to the truth. Russia and China have hacked US government systems (OPM and DoD). Hillary, if hacked, brought it on herself by not following the law. A DNC leaker may exist. But that doesn’t mean the Russians didn’t hack too. And even if they did hack, it doesn’t mean that had anything to do with why she lost.

They didn’t write the emails, and no one has ever questioned their authenticity.

Assange is saying that HIS information didn’t come from the Russians. He did say that the U.S., Russia and other countries are always hacking each other.

Right. But how he got them to leak is the subject, right? I’m sure that foreign governments and malicious people could use all types of illegal means to destroy our privacy and undermine our democracy. That’s Putin’s intent. He doesn’t really like Trump, even if he says some benign things about him. Putin’s agenda is to 1) Stay in power, stay wealthy, and avoid prosecution for his crimes against the Russian people; 2) Restore the Russian/Soviet Empire; and 3) Split NATO so he can become the dominant world power. Undermining democracy in the USA and any other nation is necessary to assure that his own authoritarianism goes unquestioned.

And all I’m saying is I wouldn’t put a lot of faith in what Assange says. It could be as he says, or it could be a lie. He’s not a credible person. He’s wanted for rape in Sweden, and has leaked many classified US documents. He’s not on our side. He’s mostly been a man of the Left.

Maybe Snowden assisting Assange passing on the leaks? Whatever it was that Snowden discovered while working as an NSA contractor was enough to make him leave the U.S. and seek asylum elsewhere. And there are others. So the level of spying on the American people must be pretty deep. And I bet there’s a lot more spying on regular Americans than there are Muslim terrorist suspects. Probably many records have been ordered to be purged on this administration’s watch. Face it. We we taken over by a Muslim Brotherhood shadow government to stage what amounts to a silent coup because they were able to get the leftists to really believe they were just poor foreigners that practice the “religion of peace”. Somehow the Christians who are a lot more peaceful and contribute far more to society (when was the last time you saw a mosque with a soup kitchen feeding the poor or providing shelter for the homeless? Answer - you won’t) are the “bad guys”. Why? Because the Muslims said so...and the leftists believe whatever they are told without ever questioning it.

While it is somewhat important to know where the leaks came from, people are just completely ignoring what was in them.

That plus the fact that HRC was a historically flawed candidate with a terrible general election strategy is what cost them this election. But hey, keep solely focusing about where the leaks came from. I am sure that will rack up future election wins for that side.

As an ex-crypto specialist in the Army, one of the most important parts of Communications Security, COMSEC, that was taught then (71-76) is that there will always be attempts to intersect or eaves-drop on whatever communications technology, secure or not, is available then, now and forever.

One of the lessons taught in the history of it has always fascinated me is the stories around the German Enigma Machine and what was done to intercede it. The movie U-571 is an excellent portrayal of the lengths demanded in the pursuit of that means at the time. I can only imagine what it is today.

To hear the abject idiots of this current administration and the associated security agencies making these asinine statements is emblematic of the wholesale lack of concern for that security that endangers us today. I totally expect that to stop as soon as the new department heads are affirmed and the only thing we ever hear are the reports of people going to jail for a very long time if and whenever it was violated.

I think, then, that we agree that this story isn’t about Hillary and her excuses for losing. It’s about a continuous threat to our National Security, something she was always cavalier about.

Two very important points are being purposely overlooked by the establishment, 1) Hitlery’s server was illegal and not secure, 2) the content of the Podesta/DNC emails has never been denied.

She is a criminal from multiple perspectives. There is just no way she is suitable for public office. She should be in jail. I really think that’s why they are covering for her and fighting so hard. They fear Trump may want her behind bars.

Oh, most definitely. The proverbial fan has not even been plugged in yet. We will never feel a breeze from it but inside the bubble there will be a hurricane.

They didn’t write the emails, and no one has ever questioned their authenticity.

WINNER !

The indignity over the source of the leaked eMails is a red herring.

The furor over who leaked the eMails would be laughable if the issue was not being taken seriously by so many.

Here we have a bunch of liars, crooks, scammers and lowlifes bristling with indignity that a small part of their cheating and scamming has been made public.

And they have their brain-dead followers up in arms about the release of the eMails when the real concern should be the despicable conduct revealed.

Whoever released the DNC/Podesta emails did the nation a service by doing the job that our own corrupt media and government failed at.

Instead of supporting crooked politicians and covering up their misdeeds, criminality and deplorable behavior our own media and government
should have been investigating the very conduct that was revealed in the leaked eMails.

Instead of plotting with Bill Clinton to cover-up Hillary's law breaking our Attorney General should have been taking the issue to a Grand Jury herself.

I’m amused by Obama’s empty threats.

The lazy SOB has 37 days in office left...14 really considering that January is a write-off for inauguration prep. The idea of him leading anything, much less an investigation, is risible.

As an ex-crypto specialist in the Army...

How do you feel about all of your personal info becoming Chinese property as a result of OPM's failure to secure personnel data?
