They’ve probably been ordered to stand down. It’s rare that state and local law enforcement will act contrary to instructions from the Feds.
It’s gone far beyond threats made in media interviews.
Many electors have reported getting threatening telephone calls, e-mails, letters, etc.
Why all of them don’t report the threats to the local police is beyond me. Maybe they don’t want their complaint to the local police to appear in their local newspapers. I don’t know.
My point is that the Electors are only mentioning the alleged threats to the media. They aren't reporting them to law enforcement. Claims made to the media should not be acted upon. Note that most of the claims of assaults by "pro-Trump" perpetrators are made only to the media or to online platforms. I don't believe them, either.
If an Elector wants me to take his threat accusations seriously, the Elector must first take his own threat seriously. Report it to law enforcement or shut up.
