Pretty good story. I would even pay for a bit more range time for him.

So armed robbers ride Mercedes Benz cars to their workplace these days? And their friends don’t worry about them bleeding all over the interior?

The incident was reported just before 8 a.m. at the Subway restaurant in the 2700 block of East Carson Street. Authorities said 47-year-old Calvin Leon Smith entered the Subway, showed what appeared to be a real gun and demanded money.

The rule should be, never pull that orange identifier from your otherwise realistic BB gun. Then, if a prospective victim shoots you, it's his fault, because you only had a non-lethal BB gun. /S

From the report, three shots, three hits. Chest, abdomen and neck.

How many times is this “needs more time at the range” crap is going to get posted on self defense threads?

He shot him in the chest which is what you’re suposed to do.

Read that. Pretty good shooting. Not sure if one can really remain calm enough under such circumstances to aim well unless one has a lot of training.

Sounds like a bit more caliber might be in order as well. :=)

Didn’t say he needed more time at the range. I said I would pay for more time at the range. Three out of three is fine. Chest, abdomen and neck. But either the caliber was small or he was under a lot of pressure or both. But he did a good job. In either case I would pay for more time at the range

...a bit more caliber...

Perhaps reconsider the actual ammo/bullet for higher lethality. However, the unknowns here include a potential for wearing a heavy coat that could affect expansion. Also, the shooter did achieve the goal which shoot to stop the aggression/threat.

The Subway will probably be closed by police tapes right through the Christmas holiday, losing them a lot of money unless their insurance covers it. But I guess it could have been a lot worse.

Also, here’s a chance for Obozo to issue another pardon before he leaves!

BB guns don’t have the orange tip.

That’s true — there are lots of unknowns. That being said, the perp being able to run away with two gunshot wounds to his torso and a third to his neck really makes me wonder just what he was shot with.

Since he didn’t assume ‘room temperature’, it is good the idiot is 47 so we only get stuck with taking care of him for half his life.
