Environmental groups are ready for a fight with President-elect Donald Trump.
Trump’s victory in November’s presidential election was a shock to the green movement, which is now consolidating opposition to a GOP-controlled government bent on undoing President Obama’s environmental agenda.
If the initial reaction was depression and despair, environmental activists now sound energized to take on Trump.
"Our goal is to channel that sense of outrage into political pressure," said Jamie Henn, the co-founder of climate group 350.org.

Interesting how the environmental movement is so lily White. Oh, sure occasionally a so-called organic farmer’s market pops up in Harlem, Newark, the South Bronx, East LA, etc. usually patronized by White yuppies from surrounding gentrified neighborhoods who make it their business to “get out of Dodge” by nightfall. But let’s get real, when was the last time a Brother saved a whale? Ir a Sister saved a polar bear? 0bama? Only because he owed the tree huggers big time. I’ve seen more diversity at a NASCAR race. On a related note, why is it only WHITES are concerned with overpopulation? Richard Pryor, in his own crazy way made a point of this “ don’t see too many White folks anymore, watcha do, you all stopped *BLEEPING*? Sure some White dude said ‘my gosh there’s too many people!’”
That smarmy “I’m smarter than you” look makes me want to give this guy a “swirley.” Just like he got from the football team every day when he was in 8th grade.

Like most greens Jamie Henn is a hard core city slicker. City living indirectly consumes much more energy and emits much more CO2 than country living, which is ultimately why it costs so much more. Steel and concrete cliff dwelling is a crime against nature.
Obama’s Environmental Agenda consisted of ignoring the greatest ongoing environmental disaster in history.
I guess that makes me a criminal and I don’t give a s*** :) I’m thinking of starting a group called conservative northeasterners who don’t give a s*** about burning fuel :)
