American Islamic Scholar: Horrific Antisemitism Rampant Among Muslims Antithetical to Their Religion
Algemeiner ^ | 1-5-17 | Lea Speyer

A prominent American Muslim scholar stated publicly last month that his community is rife with “horrific” antisemitism and racism against non-Muslims — something he said is antithetical to the teachings of Islam, the Canadian Jewish News reported.

Sheikh Hamza Yusuf — co-founder of the Islamic liberal arts school Zaytuna College in Berkeley, California — made this assertion while addressing the Reviving the Islamic Spirit (RIS) conference in Toronto at the end of December. Yusuf bemoaned witnessing fellow Muslims expressing “some of the worst racism,” especially through “anti-Jewish rhetoric.”

Referring to his 20-year relationship with Arab Islamic scholar Sheikh Abdullah Bin Bayyah, Yusuf said he’s “never heard [Bin Bayyah] saying a bad word about Jewish people ever, and yet I’ve heard in our community so many blatant remarks [about Jews].”

According to CJN, Yusuf’s acknowledgement of antisemitism among North American Muslims went unchallenged, unlike other statements he made during his lecture — specifically when he spoke about “black-on-black” violence.

“…[T]here are twice as many whites had been shot by police, but nobody ever shows those videos. It’s the assumption is the police are racist and it’s not always the case, and I think it’s very dangerous again to just broad stroke any police now that shoots a black is immediately considered a racist…the police aren’t all racist, we cannot say that [sic].”

Muslim leaders — among them Abdullah Hakim Quick, a member of the Canadian Council of Imams — reportedly condemned Yusuf, accusing him of “cowardice.”

“Muslim leaders in the Americas who do not recognize the systematic subjugation and continued suppression of black people in the West and do not speak clearly against the organized racism that is raising its head today should step down and keep their mouths shut!!!” Quick wrote in a statement.

Yusuf later issued an apology for his comments, the report said, stating his intention was “never to offend or upset anybody.”

This is not the first time that Yusuf has spoken against antisemitism in the Muslim community. In 2006, for example, during an interview with NPR, he called on Muslims to banish Jew-hatred from their mosques and homes.

Joke’s on you, Yusuf. Your religion is antithetical to tolerating Jews except as dhimme.

I appreciate the honesty — so rare among Muslims — but this hatred is exactly in accord with the teachings of the Koran. It has been part of Islam since its inception. Muslims want to kill everybody who is non-Muslim. Many also want to kill all other Muslims who are of a different sect, tribe or country. It is truly a religion of death.

No sale.

I read as much as I could take of the Koran.

Has more in common with “Mein Kampf” than anything else.

But it ISN’T honesty. As you point out, this cleric is attempting to lull us into a false sense of security by knowingly lying about islam. It is called “Taqiyya” and is not only allowed but demanded by the gutter ideology.

His initial statement embodied in "Muslim scholar stated publicly last month that his community is rife with “horrific” antisemitism and racism against non-Muslims" is certainly true.

I agree with you that his motivation for this admission is nefarious. He lies in the next breath, telling us that this hatred is not the "real" Islam. You are correct about the pervasive taqiya(however one spells it).

ZAYTUNA GRADUATE MEETS PRESIDENT OBAMA
When Zaytuna College graduate Faatimah Knight (Class of 2014) arrived, after some soul searching, at the White House Iftar this past Monday, she found her table and planted herself in the first available seat before realizing that seats were assigned. “So I walked around the table,” she says, “not seeing my name, not seeing my name, and finally saw my name — right next to the President.”
For the next 45 minutes, she sat to President Obama’s left, as he used the shared meal to engage with the nine young American Muslim leaders assigned to his table. “I was surprised by how down-to-earth he was,” says Knight, now a master’s student at the Chicago Theological Seminary. “I think he felt very comfortable with us. There was nothing weird, and he didn’t seem out of place. He didn’t seem as if he was studying us.”
After a round of introductions — Knight called out her Caribbean heritage, her upbringing in New York City, her graduation from Zaytuna College, and how those experiences continue to inspire her to study and teach Islam — the conversation turned to the state of Muslims, with President Obama asking his table-mates to reflect on the role of faith for today’s young Muslims.
“He seemed really interested to see if Muslims in our age group were following the same general trend of people moving away from orthodox practice and traditional symbols of religiosity and to a spiritual practice not tied to any particular structure,” recalls Knight.
The President also advised the group to seek and follow their core values. “He said that he has values that are core and essential to him and that he tries to live by,” continues Knight, “so that if there is a Day of Judgment in which God will ask him about his life, then there are certain things he wants to be able to live up to.”
Knight says that White House staffers told her that the President’s experience of Muslims is often through the lens of challenging foreign policy problems. What she hopes the President takes away from their iftar is an appreciation for the broader concerns of Muslims in America.
“Most of the people who we were sitting with weren’t working on foreign policy issues,” she said. “For example, there was a brother working with formerly incarcerated youth. We were people deeply rooted in America and our concerns were American concerns and maybe that helped him see the diversity of Muslims.”

Taqiyya.
He is lying to advance Islam.
The Koran specifically condemns Jews to slaughter and claims that, in the last days the stones and trees will cry out against them, calling the ‘Faithful’ to kill them.

That’s because it isn’t a religious thing. It’s cultural.

Turks, Indonesians and Arabs are nothing alike. That’s why Sunnis and Shiites try to kill each other.

Quite a bit, actually. There are rules to follow, after all, some of them rather specific, others calling for considerable interpretation.

The Koran is pretty good sized, abott 80% of the number of words in the New Testament. Much of it is very difficult to understand.

So there is quite a bit to be studied.

Most of the “education” in Islamic countries consists of memorizing the Koran.

The problem is that he represents 0.0000000001% of Imams.

And likely he’s under a death fatwa now.
