Washington (CNN)The Democratic National Committee "rebuffed" a request from the FBI to examine its computer services after it was allegedly hacked by Russia during the 2016 election, a senior law enforcement official told CNN Thursday.

"The FBI repeatedly stressed to DNC officials the necessity of obtaining direct access to servers and data, only to be rebuffed until well after the initial compromise had been mitigated," a senior law enforcement official told CNN. "This left the FBI no choice but to rely upon a third party for information. These actions caused significant delays and inhibited the FBI from addressing the intrusion earlier."

This statement is in response to reports that the FBI never asked the DNC for access to the hacked systems.

The DNC told Buzzfeed News that they did not receive a request from the FBI to access their computer servers. . .

Did the FBI have access to Podesta and the Clinton campaign server? I can’t find any information on this.

The FBI did not communicate with the DNC, they communicated with Russian hackers who pretended to be from the DNC.

That'll work.

No doubt every nation around the Globe hacked Clinton’s e-mail server. But the obscene pivot is to discredit Trump’s landslide victory while disregarding Clinton’s criminality. This is the MSM narrative — a narrative that pisses on the super majority of U.S. Counties that elected Trump.

The MSM is the Country’s greatest threat. It is not to be trusted, and its parent companies shouldn’t be patronized; i.e., Disney, Comcast, Time Warner, et al.

I’m tempted to take the lord’s name in vain here!... gotta be kidding me!

Obama’s ramping almost war and idiot like McCain and Lindsey Graham we’re going along. Based on the dmc’s word alone??!!!

The DNC definitely would have would reason to “prefer” it was a Russian outside hacker than inside unhappy staffer

And FYI the private company of the DNC hired is run by a Russian expat who might have his own political axe to grind

they told Podesta to change his password from p@ssw0rd to something else, so he chose another p-word.

The FBI instead relied on the assessment from a third-party security company called CrowdStrIke.

This private firm Crowdstrike was apparently involved in a much earlier “hacking” accusation against the Sanders campaign.

Sanders campaign drops lawsuit against DNC stemming from December [2015] data-breach flap

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2016/04/29/sanders-campaign-drops-lawsuit-against-dnc-stemming-from-december-data-breach-flap/?utm_term=.235460896861

“Upon discovering the breach in December [2015], the DNC blocked all access by the Sanders campaign to the voter database that both campaigns were utilizing. A firewall was supposed to prevent the campaigns from viewing one another’s information, but an error by the DNC allowed the Sanders staffers to temporarily get around it.”

Well why didn’t Crowdstrike put up a firewall against the Russians at the same time they were putting up one against Sanders?

This whole thing stinks to high heaven.

This means that ALL of the forensic evidence about the "hack" came from the 3rd party administrator of the servers and associated infrastructure.

What are their credentials?

And, how much of that evidence is now gone because it was not preserved?

Now that's not to say the NSA did not pick up communications proving it was Russia.

But to go public with an attribution of interfering in the election (a STRETCH characterization of the email release) means they at least need to state the conclusion was reached as the result of an intercept of Russian officials or agents.

They have to prove to the American people that the Russian government targeted DNC/Podesta/Any Dim official, obtained the info with the intent to release it to Wikileaks...with the overriding intent to diminish Clinton.

Otherwise they can pack their reports in their collective asses.

And, I don't believe the American people really even care of it did happen just that way. We only care that the truth was revealed.
