A group of House Democrats are planning one final, futile effort to challenge Donald Trump's election by raising objections when Congress meets to certify the electoral votes today – but the move will get immediately shut down unless a senator decides to signs on.
The Republican Congress would vote down the effort in any event.
Several House members have been considering raising objections to the official vote certification – an act that wouldn't have halted Trump's win but could have forced debates in each chamber that would have kept the spotlight on the intelligence community's claims of Russian interference in the elections.
Their chief problem has been finding a senator who would join their effort to at least secure a debate on the subject.
Texas Representative Sheila Jackson Lee is now saying she will voice an objection when Congress meets in a Joint Session Friday afternoon.
But a senator has not emerged who would second her effort.

Democratic clowns are comically funny. Two months later and its still Stop Trump.

The Dems will be outrageous for the next 8 years. However, their numbers will decline in elective offices.
Do they realize their conduct may come back against them in later years, like the change in the filibuster rule?
If Sheila Jackson Lee is involved it’s possible. At least in her head, a country that landed a man on mars can certainly get congress to overturn the vote. /sarc
For them, admitting they lost is equivalent to admitting they’re wrong, which is equivalent to denying their faith. Without that, their world would be without meaning.

You wonder how someone like her gets into elective office. Hope it doesn’t sound racist, but a lot of black elected officials seem to get voted in for their blackness, rather than their “smarts” IMO. Much like a lot of whites in elective office, get voted in because of their looks, charm, etc., rather than their “smarts”. My soapbox (again, sigh) is to have any candidate seeking elective office have to pass an intelligence exam, as is required for most other government positions, and have their grade on said exam published, so we can be more informed as to their capability. I

Such brilliant political strategists. Make sure that Trump and his team are all mad as hell when they finally (and inevitably) take power.
While they’re at it the Democrats should keep Nancy Pelosi in power, put Keith Ellison in charge of the DNC and horrify all of America with violent and seditious protests on election day.

Democrats screwed everything up for eight years and expect to get elected now that’s insane at it’s peak.
Democrats like the media have stopped serving the public years ago now they will pay the price.
Those questions need to be answered. If you keep pushing this thing and trying to invalidate the results of this election, we're going to have this problem every election no matter who wins UNTIL the nation actually does dissolve into civil war. Is that what you REALLY want? Really?
