I wouldn’t trust Alibaba any further than I could throw them, they’re likely just talking about distribution centers. Want to see how much profit there is, in ignoring intellectual property laws? Look no further, they’re the poster child for everything wrong with Chinese MFN status in my opinion.

Be careful. Yes they may provide jobs, but where will the profits go?

Follow the money!

I had very high expectations for Trump as President, so far Trump is exceeding those and he’s not even President yet!!!!

But Trump needs to not be dissuaded from General tariffs. Work with Ma and anyone else who is open to creating jobs in the U.S., but level the playing field.

Let those selling into the U.S. market, support our government and any unemployed American workers through a significant tariff like we had in place for 180 years.

Hello? Trump as a businessman in the free market used to create jobs all over the place. Trump as a federal official can’t create any jobs. All the feds can do, and what they are VERY good at, is HINDER job creation. The best Trump can do is get the freaking feds out of the way. GET THE FEDS OUT OF THE FREE MARKET, and America’s economy will be healthy, growing and great again.

Trump is doing this only as a thumb in the eye of Bezos. It’s doubtful that Alibaba would compete with Amazon for several years, but the threat is definitely there.

I’m very pleased with this news. Mr. Trump is very business savvy and I’m confident that this deal will benefit the U.S. economy and the American consumer.

Amazon only has 260,000. Alibaba is going to be four times that size within 5 years? Really?
