The real reason is - “Is this setting the stage for a conflict with Russia?” Obama is doing everything he can to provoke Russia. The expulsion of diplomats and economic sanctions can be laughed off, but more serious cyber attacks cannot. If we are involved in a conflict with Russia, how can Donald Trump be sworn in? Everyone knows the Russians put him in. He may even be KGB. The left will do anything to prevent him from being sworn in. If he gets in a lot of people are going to jail.
They move armies around to make political problems for Trump.
The Democrats don’t use US troops for real fighting. They use their usual Democrat ground troops, al qaeda, for that. US troops are political chess pieces.
It’s beyond absurd to protect Poland from the Russians. Lech Walesa made them wish they never stepped foot in Poland. Why isn’t Obama moving the troops to Crimea?

Estonia and Latvia would be more susceptible targets with 29.6% and 33.8% Russian speakers respectively. Poland has almost zero Russian speakers. %0.1. No Russian allies there. Pure political maneuvering.

they are not friends of Russia and have Russian speaking people mainly because the “white Russians” fled there during the Russian Revolution, 1917...
the communist Russians came in in 1941 and started kidnapping people out of their homes and they were never seen again...mostly people with that previous Russian background, connection etc...

Demographic russification of the Baltic countries started in the late 19th century under tsarist rule and was ramped up under the Soviets when they occupied the area. Most actual “white emigrés” who remained there, were caught, deported and killed by the Soviets in 1941 and 1944/45.
