Plagiarism is just laziness. All you have to do is paraphrase and footnote.
It is really just lazy to plagiarize when you could just rephrase the quote and then drop a footnote.

When nominated to these positions, you go through a rectal exam that catches everything. Why would she open herself up to this stuff?
I noticed she retained quotes within her quotes, which indicates to me she probably cited them in APA format as an indirect source, for example: Kissenger stated that “blah blah” ... (as cited in Johnson, 1982, p. 102) . Not a good way to get a top grade, as they would rather you use the direct source, and not too many of them, but still allowed.
Not everyone uses footnotes. A bibliography is an acceptable method especially for research since research IS
dependent on previous research.

Another way to characterize “plagiarized” is to say it was inadequately footnoted.

I followed the links the first time I read about Crowley’s plagiarism. She lifted passages and unique phrases. You don’t get to do that.
I really enjoy her on tv. But I know what plagiarism is. I don’t excuse people just because they are on “our side.” She knows she didn’t choose correctly.
