Marco Rubio’s perception problem

The definition of a sh%thead is a brown noser who hasn't any depth perception.

There’s no perception problem.

He’s not PERCEIVED as a worthless POS.

HE IS a worthless POS.

He’s demonstrated it over and over and over.

This is misleading as he could not derail the nomination with his vote in committee - the nomination would still go to the Senate floor with only a symbolic “postive” or “negative” recommendation - neither of which have any bearing ultimately on whether or not he gets confirmed.
That said if I had to guess I would say he would probably vote yes in committee then may vote no on the Senate floor...he’s made whatever point he wanted to be made or drawn attention to the issue he wanted focused on. I don’t see him having trouble getting confirmed with the full Senate. Sam Nunn having testified on his behalf during the confirmation hearing would probably net a few Democrat votes at least.

You’ve been ‘reminded’ of something that is not true, then. His parents were both legal residents of the United States when he was born and that has already been adjudicated ad nausiem that makes him a natural born citizen. Anchor babies are those born to people illegally in the United States...

In any event, it is completely beside of the topic of this article.

Trump himself was urging him to do so because of needing a strong candidate in a major race in Florida not only to hold the Senate seat but help carry the state in the Presidential race. That’s the first thing he’s done the GOPe wanted him to do...they were furious with him for running against Charlie Crist in 2010 and only accepted him when they had no other choice...then furious again when he ran for President when they told him not to do so because it was “Jeb’s turn.”

Not true as we have proven to you multiple times and you just pretend you never saw it. Just repeating false statements repeatedly does not make them true. And really, it is beyond absurd to keep saying that since we are 8 or more years away from him even attempting to run again unless Trump were to decide not to run for a second term, which is quite an unlikely event...so it isn’t even an issue again until 2024.

I saw Senator Rubio confront Tillerson and it was like watching a JV team member go up against a major league player. Marco is such a lightweight. I wonder who is pulling his strings.

Legal Residents are not Citizens.

He isn’t an Anchor Baby, he is an invited Guest on the Boat.

Either way, he isn’t an NBC.

Being a “legal resident” is not the same as being a CITIZEN. Neither of Marco’s parents were US citizens when he was born, hence he is not a natural born citizen.

It has been adjudicated

Chief Justice Waite, Minor vs Happersett

“The Constitution does not, in words, say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that. At common-law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners. Some authorities go further and include as citizens children born within the jurisdiction without reference to the citizenship of their parents. As to this class there have been doubts, but never as to the first. For the purposes of this case it is not necessary to solve these doubts. It is sufficient for everything we have now to consider that all children born of citizen parents within the jurisdiction are themselves citizens.”

If the citizenship of the parents doesn’t matter then why did the Senate in their resolution for McCain cite his TWO citizen parents as the reason he was eligible?

Am I missing something? I see nothing presidential whatsoever in Marco Rubio. Mayor of Miami or Hispanic Chamber of Commerce glad-hander? Sure. But president of the greatest country in the history of mankind?

Am I missing something? I see nothing presidential whatsoever in Marco Rubio. Mayor of Miami or Hispanic Chamber of Commerce CABANA BOY glad-hander? Sure. But president of the greatest country in the history of mankind?

Fixed it. ;-)

But {Stanwood} Dave, some might think what you wrote might be considered racist.

Not to worry, he's {CABANA BOY Marco} Rubio is a self proclaimed Cuban-American. I on the other hand, am just an American, of Puerto Rican descent.

I know, I know, the next question is "Well, how Puerto Rican are you." I'll give a small taste; My father's Name was Pedro Guadalupe Guadalupe, born & raised on the Island of Vieques, Puerto Rico. {Brothers & Sisters & Mother sold farm to U.S. Government, for Navy Practice.} I think with a name like that, it's just not an Irish name, if you catch my drift.

Vieques, pronounced like V as in the letter, Ache, as in toothache, as,as in the word "as." V-Ache-As (gets you very close.)

Donald’s manner, I expect, will be to let the smallminded do their own shrinking, and then let the big folks push on by.

So where do we actually see the equation in this excerpt? It reads like a hint, but not like an equation.

It is so very strange to still find so many are clueless to the ‘original intent’ of natural born US citizenship. These people who want to monkey around with the original intent yet claim they are for original intent is what gave US Obama. Hillry was 100% correct when she started the birther movement regarding Obama.

They keep this up and one of those imported Syrian refugees will be considered eligible to hold the office of president some day.
