When Teutonic leaders start talking about “Lebensraum” is when I get worried.
Go ahead and let Europe choose. And while they are at it, they can choose to stop Russian aggression on their own.
This time, Islam wants the Lebensraum. And it is bidding fair to hijack Germany to get it!
Russians might actually have a good reason to aggress this time around, if these Western Europeans in their decadent weakness let Islamism have its way.
The EU is the 4th Reich. They proved it when they tried to keep their intentions quiet with the EU defense initiative before the Brexit vote.
The problem with Russian going against Islamafied western countries is they have to go through some pretty decent countries to get at the enemy.
Like Rooskies don’t have missiles? And they wouldn’t even need to use nukes on them.
I agree with Merkel that Europe should choose its own destiny as long as the idiots do not try to take us down with them or, even worse, beg us to bail them out for a fourth time! They have been sucking on our proverbial teats long enough.
Oh, they’ll whine for our subsidies as entitlements all right.
This is one thing I think Trump will put to an end. We’re well out of the post-WWII buy-them-off stage now.
But we’ve warned them, and probably will keep warning them, where Islamism will go.
This might be one way by which Trump may dominate the UN. They’re so in bed with Islam, and Trump won’t be afraid to (so to speak) trash talk that. The UN apparatchiks may simply give up in disgust, as they never expected any real opposition like this.

The difference is going to be that they will have to do ALL of it on their own dime! We’ve “financially coddled” Europe since the end of WWII, allowing them to use their internal financial resources to prop up their socialist crap hole countries while “letting us foot the bill” for their protection from Russia seeing us as the dumb $hits we’ve been for more than 70 years. I have no idea whether NATO makes any sense now, but if it does, Europe will pay for it, not America, and they will put their soldiers on their own front lines with Eastern Europe. As for the UN, I’d cut them off cold turkey, and not bother predicating our staying in on their reversing some resolution or another concerning Israel. There’s scarcely another “free country” in the UN today other than us.
The current corrupt state in the UN is fragile and depends heavily on the US observing certain global political correctness. Donald Trump just said I am a bull and you are a china shop, and here I come.
Free countries aren’t much good unless they act free... which the US hasn’t in a long time.
Donald isn’t giving them hell. Like Harry Truman of yesteryear, he’s giving them the truth and they think it’s hell.

And just where are those “great people of Germany? Are they going to sit around as they have for year upon year with their fingers up their you know what’s? Those five weeks of vacation every year won’t do them any good if their leaders are Mohammed’s folks. And pretty soon, after the Muzzies manage to knock up all their women, it won’t matter either.
And they think the Poles should pay for the Germans’ mistakes and take in their share of Muslims, and threaten their Culture.
True, they won’t be great much longer unless they get on the ball!
Well, Donald Trump just said nuts to that idea. And so will Poland, and a growing sanity movement in Europe.
The destiny that Europe will choose may, in fact, leave Merkel in the lurch. She had best be careful what she wishes for, because she may get it.
Europe has lost the ability to choose because choice requires freedom and freedom requires the will to fight. Europe has lost that will.
