UN Ambassador-designate Nikki Haley's confirmation testimony will seriously question the US financial commitment to the world body, according to CNN as reported in The Hill.
Gov. Nikki Haley (R-S.C.) will suggest that the U.S. reconsider its 22 percent contribution to the U.N.’s annual budget, CNN reported.
“Are we getting what we pay for?” Haley is expected to ask, according to a copy of her opening statement obtained by the network.
Haley will highlight U.N. successes including food and health programs during her testimony, CNN said, as well as its weapons monitoring and some of its peacekeeping operations.
The South Carolina governor will note, however, that the U.N. is increasingly diverging from U.S. interests at home and abroad.
“[The U.N.] is an institution that is often at odds with American national interests and American taxpayers,” she will say. "More Americans are becoming convinced…that the United Nations does more harm than good.”

The us isn’t the only country questioning “fair share” payments.
I wasn’t all that happy about her being chosen but I am willing to wait and see if she toes the line in accordance with what the American people told Trump and the rest of the world what they want. If she does only than, then I’ll accept her, but her history doesn’t give me the warm fuzzies.

Yes. We pay to give our enemies a platform to attack us.
They all hate us and wish us dead. Why facilitate that?

Functionally and ideologically, probably. But she is technically a Republican. She and many, many others in this category are why I no longer consider myself a Republican.
We will just have to wait and see how far President Trump takes Nikki Haley on a walk down MAGA road.

Yeah, but it’s always fun to watch the Muslim countries’ ambassadors have to deal with an American woman (an actual woman, not a Democrat with breasts and a mental disorder). Congress needs to get a spine, then we can talk about the rest of it.
If this mistake is to be appointed to anything I suppose the UN is the best place to stick her. Getting her out of Columbia was a wise move for South Carolinians.
Now. Get busy and get the U. S. out of the U. N. Nikki can stay.
She should be the one to help eliminate her own job, for good!
