France, Germany unite in face of Trump refugee ban

France and Germany formed a united front Saturday in the face of President Donald Trump’s halt in the U.S. refugee program, with the German foreign minister noting that loving thy neighbor forms part of America’s Christian traditions.

After meeting Saturday, the foreign ministers of both nations, Jean-Marc Ayrault and Germany’s Sigmar Gabriel, said they want to meet with Rex Tillerson, Trump’s nominee for secretary of state who is still awaiting confirmation.

Ayrault said Trump’s order on Friday that bars all refugees from entering the United States for four months — and those from war-ravaged Syria indefinitely — “can only worry us.” …

These socialists love twisting Bible verses. Just as the USSR twisted 2 Thessalonians 3:10, so they twist Leviticus 19:18 and all the New Testament citations thereof to accommodate the Marxist “desire to abolish countries and nationality”.

Loving my neighbor does not include allowing them to behead me or blow me up.

I’m sure France and Germany will pick up the slack by taking in more refugees. Sadly, no [/s] here.

These socialists love twisting Bible verses.

They've gotten a lot of mileage over the years out of calling Christians "hypocrites" any time they attempt to defend their values and culture. But I think that parrot is about to lose its voice. :)

I love the way socialists get religious when they’re trying to promote their causes. The ‘Christian tradition’ also frowns on killing babies in the womb.

The French and Germans can start a Go Fund Me campaign to bring in more refugees to their countries.

The problem is not the US, except for arming ISIS. The problem is Syria and Islam.

At last the Krauts and the Frogs are united in something: STUPIDITY!!

Meanwhile Pres. Trump is in the process of taking our country back from the Koranimals while there is still time.

My thoughts are they can ‘unite’ and take it up the keester by bring the affected muslims into their own countries.

They have no justification to criticize what this country does.

“Love they neighbor” coming from a German?
Some historian assert Deutschland was never a Christianized nation.

Try reading the book of Nehemiah for starters and perhaps, the entire Old Testament for the extreme warnings on not mixing the people of God with other religions. Every story of leadership in the ot seems to end when a man allows a woman from another belief influence his children. Except Moses, all others failed, iirc. Loving thy neighbor means.. I love you, stay neighbors.. your not getting my house and food for free while raping my wife, daughters and sons.

Was the double edged sword a Christian invention? We are the only ones who seem to realize that they work very good at cutting both ways.

The problem is not the US, except for arming ISIS. The problem is Syria and Islam.

To be fair, the explosion in Muslim refugees in Europe is primarily a result of the Obama administration's (to include SoS Hillary Clinton) disastrous foreign policy in the region.

Sorry Europe. Our bad. Oh well. You all wanted the both of them!

The devil can quote scripture. And it turns out that France and Germany are a lot closer geographically to the source of this problem than we are. The EU has more people, and about as much land area and total GDP as the USA. They can carry the burden of taking in Muslim colonists since we certainly saved Europe’s ass three times in the last hundred years. It’s their turn now.

with the German foreign minister noting that loving thy neighbor forms part of America’s Christian traditions

From a country that started the two most destructive wars in the history of the world, I hardly think they are in any position to lecture anyone on "loving thy neighbor."

The other translation might be, misery loves company. We have screwed up our countries so bad, with our bad immigration policies, we want you to screw your country up too.

the German foreign minister noting that loving thy neighbor forms part of America’s Christian traditions

*************

Translation: let in all immigrants because they will return the favor and vote for the liberal party in power. The foreign minister’s idea of “love” is retaining political power through an increased voter base at the expense of the country’s social cohesion.

These Euro ministers remind me of those sneaky Siamese cats in Lady and the Tramp (...a movie which seems to have been deep sixed, presumably because of the un-PC traditional gender roles and ethnic portrayals).

The devil can quote scripture. …
Yes, and he did so right to Jesus’ face too. Not too much of a stretch to say these socialists are doing it in the same spirit.

The reason for their bringing in those Muslim “refugees” though is far more devious than an attempt at magnanimity—and that’s aside from the side effect of the renewed persecution of Jews on their soil. They want to induce the people to surrender more freedom in exchange for security; Thomas de Maizière, the German interior secretary, said as much a few weeks ago.
