Actually I think is a boomerang effect. The average person would probably think that this is a good thing.

So why those countries ? Why not extend the ban to Turkey, Egypt and Saudi Arabia etc ? I’m not complaining because this is a start but really would be interested in his explanation.
CNN is making it far too easy for us to discredit them again and again. Do they have a death wish?
Perhaps we have a good vetting process for people in Turkey, Egypt, or Saudi Arabia already in place. I don’t really know - just throwing that out there.

The article mentions “extreme vetting” which seems to involve asking questions about the person’s beliefs. The problem with such vetting (and it has been repeatedly demonstrated in the past with other issues) is that people soon learn what the “correct” answers are. (”I fear for my life in my home country. I love America and want to become a citizen and get a job and pay taxes.”) Do you really think a terrorist is going to have a problem with lying?

same with Saudi Arabia, China, India, Brazil, and dozens of other nations.
But I forgot that there is actually some “right” to come to the U.S., apparently.
There are a billion Muslims and they estimate that 1/10 of them are radical jihadi muslims who would be happy to commit acts of terror.
Banning 134 million of them is a good start.
Frankly I would ban all Muslims from countries where Jews, Christians, Hindus and Buddhists are not allowed to freely practice their religion and any country which has instituted Sharia Law.
Cnn acts as if this is a bad thing.
