Politics: Three months ago, Candidate Trump promised that on Day One of his presidency he would, if elected, "suspend immigration from terror-prone regions where vetting cannot safely occur." President Trump didn't get around to that until Day Seven, which means he was a week late. Yet everyone is acting as if this all came out of the blue.
The executive order Trump signed Friday afternoon instituted a 90-day suspension of immigrants from countries listed by the Obama administration as having a significant foreign terrorist organization presence. The reason is to give relevant agencies the breathing room to review their procedures and make sure that "adequate standards are established to prevent infiltration by foreign terrorists or criminals."
The order also suspends the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program for 120 days, giving Homeland Security and the Director of National Intelligence time to "determine what additional procedures should be taken" to make sure that terrorists aren't slipping in under the guise of refugees — a legitimate concern. It also sets a slightly lower 50,000 cap on refugees for this year than has been in effect over the past decade.
Trump's actions should not have come as a surprise to anyone who was paying even the slightest attention to the presidential campaign.

The fact that Obama and other democrat presidents have used the same law to ban entry to this country does not matter to the liberals. They cannot be reasoned with.

No, the Lying Left, the enemy within, will fight Trump and us at every turn. Remember, the Lying Left is not used to sustained opposition. They have ALWAYS fought against freedom, the Constitution, and limited government. They’re used to the GOP easily folding because all the GOP cares about is their political careers. The Left is just not used to our fighting back over a sustained period of time. Well, it’s way past time for us to do so.
So don’t be weary. We must be more determined than they. We are in the right and they are in the wrong. So we should be bold and determined because God is with us.
It is at the root a spiritual battle between the spirit of antichrist (speech-limiting “political correctness”) and the Spirit of Christ (the Bible, Christians and free exercise of speech and religion). They won’t give up until we run them back into their caves where they came from.

Yes, and it seems that some of “us” here seem anxious to freak out whenever there is a ripple in the waters, hearking back to the “Oh no Trump is finished now for sure!” mentality.
Just settle down, relax, and let the man do his job his way. That approach has worked out pretty darn well so far.
And believe it or not, the President and his staff actually do have more information than posters on internet discussion boards.
The leftists will be freaking out. They were never really out of power, even when Republicans were president. This time, it’s different. He’s doing all the things that we hoped the bushes would do, but never did. I am enjoying this immensely.

And other than their inevitable utopia, can’t think beyond the next 10 minutes which is why they’re always blaming others when their plans have unintended consequences or just never work out.
When Trump announces the new Supreme Court Justice tomorrow, the immigration ban will disappear from the front page of every news outlet.
