Ford CEO Mark Fields and Executive Chairman Bill Ford have released a statement on Donald Trump’s immigration order, making them the first major U.S. automaker to offer an official comment or position. The statement reads as follows, and was shared internally with Ford employees as well as made available to the press:

Respect for all people is a core value of Ford Motor Company, and we are proud of the rich diversity of our company here at home and around the world. That is why we do not support this policy or any other that goes against our values as a company. We are not aware, to date, of any Ford employees directly affected by this policy. We will continue working to ensure the well-being of our employees by promoting the values of respect and inclusion in the workplace.

My response is: Who cares what this guy thinks? Not me.

He probably would be happy to sell cheap chinese/mexican made products into the U.S. while not producing any manufacturing jobs here.

This isn’t about what’s best for Ford. This is about what’s best for America.

Why would these idiots feel the need to make a political statement like this when they say none of their employees are affected? Shareholders should be burning up the phone lines.

Ford should instead work to promote the quality of their product. The last Ford pickup I purchased was the sorriest I've ever owned, and I've owned/driven quite a number of new Ford trucks. I'll shop other brands from here on out.

So Ford is against against American self-government and for Globalism and Islam.

Ford, your beliefs are duly noted.

Many big multinationals are instinctively against self-government by nation-states and for a global governance regime with uniform global laws and no restrictions on labor or importation of goods across any borders, for their own convenience and self-interest.

It used to be said that what was good for GM was good for America, but the large multinationals are now post-American and pro-Globalist and we need to carefully monitor their attempts to control our laws and muffle our self-government.

But these people did not have a problem being given a handout from the taxpayers (if my memory serves me properly)some years back. Something to at least consider when reading this fellow’s opinion about this situation.

Exactly. Instead of commenting on this try fixing the F-150 door latches that don’t lock and the exploding rear windows. And let Trump keep America safe!

Why is it that these CEO’s today feel they have to tell us what they think? I could not give a crap, keep out of politics plain and simple.
